  2. I'm sure with a few simple enquiries via the published twitter/email details, they could tell you which legal entity is holding the funds. I'm not sure why you haven't already done this, if your concerns are genuine.

Why not get in touch with them via twitter if you have genuine concerns?

I think you're crediting estate agents with FAR too much expertise here...

  8. dirac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "it's 50p per litre more than > cow milk and there is 1/2 litre in your drink, so > that's going to be an extra 25p" It's probably more like 200ml in your drink, so an extra 10p. But you have to expect a mark-up on everything in cafes/bars/restaurants, so I can see how that 10p might turn into 30p or so.
  9. I guess you'd class oysters as a luxury, but at a couple of quid each, it's an affordable one from time to time. "craft beer"... you are confusing with ale.
  10. I always thought that if I had a bike (I don't), I would give it a deliberately crap DIY paint job, so that nobody would ever want to steal it.
  11. I'm on the fence over the whole nationalisation thing. I'd like to see profits re-invested. But I don't know if I really trust a public body to do a better job... there were plenty of problems back in the BR days.

  13. We're all pissed off... but how is this going to help?

Even if you got help from parents to buy (I didn't), that doesn't mean you don't work hard (my wife and I both work 10hr days). Lots of other couples in very similar circumstances. But even then... we're probably lucky compared to today's twenty-somethings, many of whom probably view the prospect of ever owning property in London (or even the SE) as hopelessly unrealistic.

  16. Bought in 1975 - salt-of-the-earth types who worked their socks off to buy their home Bought in 2015 - good-for-nothing slackers who lucked out when their parents popped their clogs Glad we got that sorted out.

I don't think anybody on the EDF is directly to blame for M&S replacing your beloved Iceland...

    Bacon sandwich

Lardons, avocado, tomato, mayo... that's not a bacon sarnie!!

    Bacon sandwich

It's got to be streaky bacon, cooked to a crisp. Ketchup and mustard (no butter) on granary bread. If adding a fried egg, mustard should not be used.
  20. dulwichbloke Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > M&S will (obviously) be mobbed This. Anyone that says otherwise is kidding themselves. The food isn't amazing but it IS slightly better than Sainsburys, and it's perfect for people picking up an easy meal on the way home from work, or working parents with little time for cooking... or people who just don't like shopping/cooking/washing up.

  23. It begs the question of what would be a sensible middle ground. It's possible to support commitment to welfare, education and healthcare, more council houses, moderate tax increases, and a reduced military (spending and presence) without going for full-on Corbynmania..
  24. Corbyn has a rather fanatical following amongst his sizeable fan club. So no doubt he will mobilise thousands of previously disengaged voters. But nowhere near the millions more that they need to win an election!! IMO there's no shame in broadening your appeal to the middle ground. You can either try to make the country a better place by compromising. Or you can stick to your guns and give the opposition free reign.
