Animals at Home - Crystal Palace & Dulwich
Giacomelli replied to sammers's topic in Request a Tradesperson
So sorry to hear this. Our little cat is always very happy when we get back from holidays using Ian. -
We are Scottish/Italian couple and also love il mirto. Lovely homemade food. I would love it even more if they had more typical sardinian dishes like they used to... but apparently these were not often ordered by locals. For me still one of the best pizzas in london which proves that a good pizzaiolo is more important than a woodfired oven. We live nearer si mangia which is fine but prefer making the trip to il mirto.

Eek get a cat perhaps?

ADT - Cold Calling - Has anyone else had this?
Giacomelli replied to Rednaic's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yeah. They are aggressive. When I said I wasn't interested chap suggested that I didn't care about my family's safety. With that I just shut the door in his face. -
Greek islands in August - which are the least busy??
Giacomelli replied to Minitoots's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We went to Ithaca in October - it was empty! I am told it's a bit busier in August, but at least all the good restaurants were open then... our only option was goat stew. It is a really lovely island and we had such a relaxing time. The rocky beaches will always be less busy, so bring a strong pair of flip flops. I really recommend doing the walking tour of Odysseus Palace. You need to like cats though... they are everywhere! -
Our service has been rubbish for 2 weeks now. Broadband works for ten mins then cuts out... we are on dunstans rd.

Airport Transfers From Goose Green to Heathrow?
Giacomelli replied to DulwichElsi's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I always use BA transfer. They have always been on time and you can get a quote from the website batransfer.com. If you become a member (this only involves giving your email adress etc) it will cost you about ?37 quid to get to Heathrow. When there was the snow at Gatwick and there were delays etc we asked the driver to drop us off at E.Croyden instead as we were worried we would miss our flight if we carried on by road. The driver stayed at the station until I texted him to say that we were safely on the train and on our way. I think this is very good service. I know they are not the most local, but they have never let me down for airport transfers. -
Recommended Heating Engineer/plumber
Giacomelli replied to CityMum's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Best service I have ever had from anyone! Faulty boiler fixed within hour of calling him... on a Saturday morning! Thank you so much! -
Il Mirto is great. Good food and friendly service. if you feel the cold like me you may want to take a jumper as the big windows sometimes lets the heat out. If you are in Peckham then I like Il Giardino too.

I left my flat from near the plough at 6.45AM this morning and walked the length of Lordship Lane and on to the station and not one bus passed. So I wouldn't wait - though many others were. Bus passes may be used on the train I believe?
