  1. Thanks Sue, saw your email, look forward to the outcome. Hopefully the fundraiser will attract lots of attention. http://snubdulwich.org.uk/
  2. Thanks to the lovely people who left plants on Heather's doorstep the other evening, very sweet of you. We still need plants and Heather is happy with plants being left on her doorstep. Sue and Nigel, great seeing you yesterday, lots of great ideas, thanks for the tip on the fundraising event. Il be working, so I cant attend. There will be a raffle at the fundraiser, if there are any businesses who would like to donate a prize for the raffle, please let me know, via PM or on this thread. Funds raised will be donated to the Dulwich community garden. Thanks again ED. Community action rocks :)-D
  3. Sue, thank you so much, that is a lovely gesture. We would love you too. Let me know what we can do to help. We are so touched. I love this community.:)-D I*rate the site is at Dulwich hospital by the main entrance, on the right. The site was just cleared by the Police community payback team, and the members of the vale residents association, will be helping to clear the site. The garden itself will be a community garden, the theme is physic garden. Dulwich will have its very own physic garden, we are going to encourage the community to help maintain the garden, however the project itself will be run by the Grove vale residents association. SNUB my bit of passion on the side are facilitating the project. http://snubdulwich.org.uk/ I will keep this thread updated as and when I can. Sue you know where I am, please lets speak soon Thank you again.
  4. Today local gardener Alek Nikolic donated 3 trays of plants, all herbs suitable for companion planting, to the Dulwich community garden Big thanks to Alec, you are wonderful. So far the garden is being built by the heart and soul of the community. Today clearing of the site began, And yet still no funding. Lets see how far we can get with no funding. However we are still working on fund raising, and hopefully will receive confirmation of funding soon. Watch this space for more updates. http://snubdulwich.org.uk/ Edited to spell Alek's name correctly. :)-D
  5. gm99 thats a very good idea. I think the forum on the whole needs a formal feedback section. Even though the forum started out as a hobby for Mark, it was clear Mark was trying to turn this into a business, in the early days. However a free community forum who rely on donations and sponsors to cover the expenses, was never going to be a business. Good luck in finding your investors Admin. :)-D

    Sponsors

I have used one of the forum sponsors, and had to ask for a refund, because the quality of work was poor. However I have used another sponsor, who's quality of work was very good, so have recommended them, because of their quality of work, and good trades/businesses should be shouted about.:)-D I was actually surprised, that the forum did have a sponsor, who was not East Dulwich based. Seemed to have disappeared though.
  7. Oooh the Hoarding has now been removed from where the site of the garden will be. And the clearing of the site will begin tomorrow. Thanks to Robin CrookshankHilton. Bless her :)-D
  8. Hi Bawdynan, Bless you. I will have a look
  9. Hi all thanks for your generous donations so far, I cant wait to see the project take shape. If there are any forumites, who would still like to donate, please drop the plants off to Healthmatters Lordship Lane, and I will make sure they will get to the site. The clearing of the site will start on the first of November, and the removal of the hoarding should be very imminent. Thank you edhistory, can we use the image, if we need too?. Thank you Landscaper for your input. We have Groundwork london who have given the project a small amount of funding, but a lot of in kind support, including design. We are also very lucky to have sponsors Barry Mc Govern and his team who are building and installing the raised beds. The Dulwich community garden (working title) is being built on our amazing Community spirit Thanks again all :)-D

Admin yes there is a connection, its obvious, there is a connection. I hired a company to do work for me, I liked them, I hired them again, they carried out more work for me, and guess what I liked their professionalism, their due care and attention, so guess what they did more work for me. So in the grander scheme of things, instead of using 3 or 4 different building companies, I used 1, who I like, who look after me and all their other clients. So what do I do, I recommend them, because I want others to experience the professionalism of the company. So yes we do have a connection.

Admin, so I have recommended them 6 more times, then the "average forum user" Shame on me, I must remember no more then 70 times, no more then 70 times. I have been a naughty girl. Straferjack my sweet, I am a student of Homeopathy, I use it, recommend it. But I am not a Homeopath, be careful admin may ban me for claiming to be something I am not.

Admin., thanks for replying to the pms. I sent over 2 months ago!!! 76 times in the two years I have worked with and used the company, equates to 3 times a month. If you want to compare this to the average forumite user recommending a company, its no more or no less. If you really have a lot of time on your hands, why dont you analyze how many times I use the forum on average. I really need this for my own records. Thanks :)-D

Admin actually ignore private messages. I have sent three in total and have CCd Mark. Original message was sent in July received no answer sent again in September, still no answer, then again at the end of September, and guess what no answer. The matter is private one which I did not want broadcasted, however I have highlighted certain facts to admin, they still have not answered. So you do ignore private messages. Fact
