Hi all Hope you are all well, wanted to keep you posted on EDSNUB's new project, a community garden at Dulwich Hospital. The project will hopefully start in September, subject to funding and will be run by the Vale residents Association in collaboration with EDSNUB. The new community garden will be at Dulwich hospital, just in front by the main entrance behind the hoarding. (hopefully the hoarding will be removed with the help of our lovely local councillors) The theme of the garden with be physic, using herbs and flowers to assault the senses, whilst sitting in a sea of colour and serenity. I love the whole idea of Guerilla gardening. Love to see more of it on the lane, especially where the trees are planted. Instead of looking at a pile of dirt, would be nice to see flowers and plants encasing the trees.

Having tattoos myself, I have always planned them, as they should be. I have mine done in South Norwood, and it takes me about 6 months to decide what I want, where it is goes, and importantly why I want it. I think in theory its a good idea, however I would be inclined to suggest you have other options. For instance body piercings? Having a tattoo, should be a serious thought out plan, not done on a whim, so tattoo parlours are few and far between. Just my opinion, hope this helps :)

Hi keen Gardeners and Veg enthusiasts. SNUB may have secured a new site for a community garden, we are in negotiations at the moment. However watch this space, hopefully we will have good news soon. Wish us luck. :)-D

I thought it was very refreshing to see the swarm of bees on LL, and although you must be careful around them, and the way they were taken away by the beekeeper was slightly amusing. However we do need the bees and I was delighted to see a swarm appear on LL. But yes if you spot another swarm near by, contact the local beekeepers.

Hi All Just wanted to update you on the EDSNUB bikes projects. We have just been awarded funding from the London Cycling campaign http://lcc.org.uk/ to expand the bikes for Schools project into the community. Currently with the support of the local police, Southwark Cycling officer Roger Stocker and Local lib Dem councillor James Barber. Instructors Stewart and Deke from Revolution Cycling, http://www.revolutionscycling.co.uk will work with local young teenagers and their parents to EDUCATE them in cycle maintenance.These trainees will learn while REFURBISHING donated and unclaimed bikes from the local police stations. A number of the bikes will be sold to the public at affordable prices and the money re invested in our projects. We have to date donated over 30 bikes to the local schools, and each school are currently learning how to maintain the their bikes, in the EDSNUB sponsored bike maintenance class. Thanks for all your ongoing support and hopefully we will see more East Dulwichites on their bikes.:)-D

Fuschia it is healthy to be objective and have an opinion.

I went to a yoga camp last summer with a friend who teaches at Steiner, and she delivered workshops to the children, teaching them yet, nurturing them to grow at their own natural pace. After the workshops, the children would go off and play football, or sat down with each other and spoke about the activities they had learnt that day. The children were aged from 4, the oldest was about 12. What really delighted me, was the interaction between each other, and the respect and trust between them. We can all learn a lesson from Steiner. I know I did.

Hi Sue I hope the music went well, Marilyn my outgoing SNUB partner was busy doing this. I was at work, although I enjoyed the end of the fair. I will try and organise with my incoming gardening partner for SNUB something similar. Not sure when though. My incoming Bikes project partner is keeping me busy with funding :)-D .As always watch this space, for up and coming SNUB events.

Hi All Just want to say a big thank you to all of you who visited the cycle maintenance guys at the Goose green fair today. We raffled off the bikes, East Dulwich police donated and the guys repaired. All donations from the raffle will go towards the Bikes for Schools fund. Look forward to meeting Bike enthusiasts of East Dulwich at the EDSNUB sponsored maintenance classes over the coming months. There is also a Cycle maintenance course you can attend on the 14th May, I have posted the course on the whats on. Definitely worth doing, and it may save you money in the long run. Hi ED Forumites Just an update on the Bikes for Schools project. Thanks to the local police and Sgt Duncan Jackson, we now have some more bikes for schools. Sgt Jackson has kindly donated unclaimed lost bikes to the project for the School. Thank you There will also be Bike maintenance workshops in and around the East Dulwich area over the Spring and Summer, Sponsored by EDSNUB, look out for location, times and dates on the forum.
