  1. Mine's Oh Death too, but by Dock Boggs. For me it's the obvious song.
  2. "I don't understand, medical reasons aside, how people are so unable to manage their bladders". Some bladders just don't stretch like others - also some people have very bad discomfort compared to others. I only know this because I once had a very stretchy pint-a-piss bladder but after an operation am now the proud owner of a half-pinter, which, if stretched enough, causes the sort of pain as to make pissing in a bush the least of my worries. Assuming there's no loo available, of course.
  3. I've 2 of these critters, in lower back. What's been said above - a few mins stretching / relevant exercise makes the day a lot smoother !
  4. Speedo Puzza is now incorporated into Al Forno on Forest Hill. Same tel no - just so you know.
  5. Otta I know the spot also from a few years ago. They gated it. Dunno why open air facilities can't be provided for the public.
  6. Mirash Tandoori is having new carpets fitted today.
  7. I've caught hell from some landlords asking to just use the loo. When I get caught short I hate it and it winds me up that there's never public loos. Those open air urinals as per Holland should be positioned in all major piss-stops. I used one a while back on the North side of Soho Square, just as I was heading there for relief - so simple / practical.
  8. Do you mean his suit was good and with his tie was a stylish combination or that he was well-dressed because (italics) he was wearing a suit n tie ?
  9. It's a shame - he used to a great gig down the Swan in Stockwell.
  10. "So Seabag, what you're saying is - clothes look good on good looking people who are in good shape." this seems to be what the vast majority of the population think, want and aspire to.
  11. just slates. slates and felt. slates and felt and batons. leadwork included. what about coping tiles and cement work ? any new timber required ? 'roof replacement' can translate to a many things, some of which may not be necessary.
  12. There's another similar shop nearby which I've used for years, I got some after eight choccies for someone as a thankyou a while back and they opened them after the dinner at theirs - the chocolate was so old it'd gone white like it was frosted ! They were OK when I went back with it about swapping for a packet that was from the same decade. This stuff happens with shops like this, hopefully it won't be such a shock next time.
  13. I once worked in an office sitting opposite a Bangladeshi bloke who threatened to report me to HR for persistently eating bacon sandwiches from a greasy cafe around the corner for lunch, in his view I was disrespecting his faith.
  14. jane1 - you shouldn't worsen the situation by carrying additional out of date stock into the shop.
  15. I think with these sort of shops it's sort of not a surprise, people often use them for foodstuffs when caught short not for the weekly shop so maybe not a big stock turnaround occurs.
  16. Surely that'd be the bicycle sheds ?
  17. Local Tramp re-spells as 'A Camp Troll'. So maybe 'dogging' is his thing.
  18. Kraft (Road)Works
  19. The Police Car
  20. ...to the tune of I Love You Love..
  21. sounds like a pub name !
