  1. Good excuse to get yourself down NorthCross market - there's burgers down there, probably for around ?12. With cheese. And tomato sauce.
  2. shame you couldn't record the girl and give her parents a copy on CD.
  3. You can camp in tents at crystal palace campsite.

    4G

so does having loads of music on your phone slow down your internet access ? I thought 'data' (ie. music) storage space was separate from the IAS/working store used by the processor for internet access. I've @9000 songs on my phone and internet can be slow but not sure if that's just cos it's a shite connection.
  5. I love to go to a demonstration too and so close to where I live. What's it about, by the way ?
  6. Norman Court to ED station in 5 minutes - I don't think so.
  7. I took the tribe to a resort in Grand Canaria last year, the cost of flights was > than resort cost for 5 of us by a country mile. I've spent years preferring 'travelling' but the whole all-inclusive resort thing seemed just easier / less stressful with the KK-ettes. We had a blast, but the fact that the flights were 8x cost of exact equivalents either two weeks before or after the half-term breaks left a bad taste in my mouth. Whether I can afford or not is for me a moot point when dealing with such blatant pricing, so I'll be choosing to stay in UK a few years for family hols, unless the rules change on when you can take kids away from school. UK has great locations and people are sound.
  8. If (I think it's) 50% of leaseholders want the freehold, the landlord has (I believe) no choice but to relent - then the collective can appoint their own maintenance company. Rather than approach this at army's length, why not do what everyone on this thread is advising you to do and go meet the people. You wanted some advice, right ?
  9. What is the male 'equivalent' of a tart called ? Was the term 'tart' invented by men ?
  10. Or buy now and reap benefit in increased value when property mgt company changes / freehold is bought. Remember property prices can increase as well as decrease at any time.
  11. Don't ask don't get. You know where the people with the knowledge are - you've a bona fide reason for asking them. There's nothing impolite about it at all, being a cold-calling chugger or lay preacher - now that's impolite. jamespetts Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > KidKruger Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > If I were looking for someone who lives there I > > may go to the block itself as there's a good > > chance that someone there lives there. > > That would seem a bit impertinent, really: I don't > imagine that random people would like to be > disturbed in that sort of way. It seems so > impolite.
  12. If I were looking for someone who lives there I may go to the block itself as there's a good chance that someone there lives there.
  13. With no particular experience in that block I can already say walk away if you have a choice.

    Oregano

But does it still taste of oregano - which is the point of drying / storing it, right ?
  15. Maybe worth talking to the shop premises underneath and adjacent - if any of them deal in foodstuffs they may feel it prudent to react to your information (if only for fear of it being broadcast more widely or brought to the attention of the authorities).
  16. "I'm sure you know what I'm thinking a lot better than I do". Ha ha !
  17. Yeah balanced enough to put you in hospital if you eat it for a month !
  18. Will the builders get minimum wage ?
  19. Inadequate use of question mark - just because somewhere in the sentence was a question.
  20. Usually, if you're able to just let go.
  21. Japanese knotweed in the area is not a rumour - it's a fact !! Threads on here from last year evidence that.
  22. A ball-gag should cover it.

    MBA

I don't think increasing your knowledge (which was my use of it) has an expiry date for usefulness. Experts in many fields have had their research / conclusions collated into a single course and its all there for you - if you can be assed to put the effort in. Don't do one if you don't fancy it, simples.

An unexpected by-product was friends made on the course and inspiration from their persistence, ideas and aptitude. If I had to rate it in terms of effort I'd say pick your 2nd toughest day at work ever and multiply by the length of your course. Have a leaving party for friends and family before you start !
