I took the tribe to a resort in Grand Canaria last year, the cost of flights was > than resort cost for 5 of us by a country mile. I've spent years preferring 'travelling' but the whole all-inclusive resort thing seemed just easier / less stressful with the KK-ettes. We had a blast, but the fact that the flights were 8x cost of exact equivalents either two weeks before or after the half-term breaks left a bad taste in my mouth. Whether I can afford or not is for me a moot point when dealing with such blatant pricing, so I'll be choosing to stay in UK a few years for family hols, unless the rules change on when you can take kids away from school. UK has great locations and people are sound.
