I did see bags of frozen sliced doner meat, that did make me feel nauseous as usually frozen meals are a pale comparison to the real thing, but a proper doner to start with is already pretty dire (though I so eat em).

Papers say Mayweather put in a dominant performance. The weigh-in photos showed him cut like I've never seen, how much extra work he must have done to science that bewilders me because he's a certified gym rat anyway. The only boxers remaining IMO to prove there are no peers remaining, are: Pacquiao Brook Thurman Bradley If he doesn't cover these names in his last 2 fights (or three, if he decides to try beat Rocky Marciano's record) then his legacy isn't as solid as it could have been. Khan's surely out of the running now, unless it's a big money fight in UK ?

It may help you to re-read your own thread, personally I don't think I posted anything that could be taken as aggressive (unless you regard anything but blind agreement as aggressive) until you'd commented on my attitude and inferred my understanding is weak. Even then I was gentle with you, considering the way you left me feeling crushed and devalued. I can't speak for the other members of my gang though. As per the Lego movie, "Everything is awesome, Everything is cool when you work in a team". hee hee - originally I typed "bling agreement" that did make me chortle and conjured-up thoughts of dudes obliging one another with affirmations on their laden precious metals. But thought I'd best correct the spelling for fear I'm accused of implying you only like heavyweight jewellery.

I've just started using Iceland for some things - don't tell me it's closing !

So it's Mayweather v Maidana II tomorrow. What do you reckon ? I managed to get-up just in time for the start of the first contest and was gobsmacked during round 1 because Maidana was bossing it and I'd never seen Floyd compromised like that. As the rounds progressed Maidana's dominance (if it ever really was that) diminished exponentially, leaving Floyd owning the rounds. The decision could never have been Maidana's. But it's months later and Floyd Mayweather is older. I think Maidana gets schooled tomorrow. He says he knows Floyd now, having fought him once - but the opposite must also be true and Floyd brings plans A-Z to the table being always able to adjust to what's in front of him. Don't quote me tho.

Newbuilds in gardens - Hindmans Road
KidKruger replied to kate h's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
lounge lizard - there's a massive difference between not wanting the house across the road converted to flats and developers building houses in back gardens. You could argue it's old-fashioned to resist the latter, but hardly NIMBY territory. 2/10 -
When you anonymously slag-off a business with the intention to 'embarrass' it, you're hiding behind a keyboard ! Given that you have admitted you're using EDF as tool for this, how will you gauge the success, or failure, of your efforts ? I can understand your being defensive when the point of your effort is questioned, but it does look like you've written a letter to a company without a clue of whether they will ever read it. The 'open letter' claim seems facile, it is customary (as anyone who understands the construct should know) to entitle it 'Open Letter to...'. This is why I queried the message banner, the title sails against custom and to be honest messed-up my entire week. As Confucius said (in the Analects), "a gentleman always uses the correct terminology". Just saying..

Newbuilds in gardens - Hindmans Road
KidKruger replied to kate h's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
people pave their gardens and there's no regulation I know of to prohibit that, so a new build as far as run-off goes may be comparable. New builds in gardens though, I think it's a plague and I'm not convinced everyone really affected actually gets a say - usually only immediately adjacent properties. A property I own, the guy next door applied for permission for a triple garage, which was granted. As he built it, I wondered why the exterior walls were reclaimed red brick with a block built internal wall and insulation in between, then I noticed large window holes and proper domestic drainage being incoporated. I advised the local council who said there was no breach as intended use is triple garage. Over time he bricked the windows up, I couldn't see why he'd put all that effort and cost into the detail and lintels etc., only to close the openings. Once it was completed he applied for permission to turn the 'triple garage' into a 2-bed bungalow on it's own land. In a week they could have switched the place into a bungalow as most of the work had been already done ! A bit of research showed this builder's development-by-stealth history over the years. -
Compared to SMBS ?499.50 would sound reasonable !

" Anyone that think we can all get together and stop a shop from closing (when the owners have decided to sell it and move on) is a moron and not really worth worrying about. " ...or when the shop has ALREADY been sold and the transaction is days from completion !!! It's Sugar Mountain I believe in FH, which is where I'll now have to confection-ise.

i think it starts with a conversation with them explaining the consequences for your dwelling and the those in it each time your neighbours below light a fire. You could undewrline the expected baby. I'd get on it now, in a nice way, so as the days draw shorter and colder you have an agreement/way forward. If it becomes confrontational, a call to the council for health reasons should help (don't quote me on that bit, just my opinion).

ACBP. What to do ? About the fumes - speak to your neighbours and get the fires stopped until they've lined their chimneys each with a flue to protect you. The fumes can make you sick and your possessions may absorb the odour of fumes. About not having an open fire - if it's your place, also set-up a flue then you can have fires too.
-
not sure I understand fully - but I thought electric fires just heat up air, so there's nothing to conduit out of the room such as fumes/gases ?

they must be in Dulwich woods, i pulled one out of my dog's chest in late March.

great win by Carl Frampton against old foe Kiko Martinez, he boxed most of the fight going backwards, another world champ for GB.

Huh ! so if i have a bad experience with Iceland on Lordship Lane, I write them a letter and they don't respond, it's proper form to start a thread on EDF which begins 'Dear Iceland' ?! Just go in there and have it out with them, make a fuss, bang the counter, rather than hiding behind your keyboard. surely your post should begin "a slagging-off of Foxtons:".

weirdly addressed to Foxton's - are they definitely checking this board every day ?

You can always call your lender as an initial enquiry, just say you want to know what the process is so you can start getting your documents together - you don't have to provide information just to ask how it works.
-
emc - I called recently about borrowing extra dosh for some building work/improvements, the lender said it would be either a new mortgage or extension to current mortgage amount, but the full checks etc. would be necessary either way. The lenders are under stricter rules these days. If you're stuck though and need a mortgage advisor, PM me as I have a guy I've used for years and he's solid. Good luck.
