I may have to do a stint over in Reading and wonder, before I look at routes/rooms there, whether anyone : a) knows the best route there and back by car/public transport b) drives and has space for another Any info useful. Cheers
-
Cheers Otta will give it a go.

My record's 14 months and that was alcohol free beer all the way, mainly cos it was the only drink available at that time in bars without alcohol that didn't involve coke and other sweet-saturated tooth-rotting gut-killing products. Good luck tho.
-
Otta this was the point of my alcohol-free beer thread a few months ago, when I was 'on holiday' from the sauce. Some alcohol-free beers taste reasonable (OK, you have to get your head around the fact there's no hit from it) and definitely better than 4 pints of Coke. Someone on my thread posted a link to a website where you can order a variety of lagers/bitter/wine. ETA: it's www.alcoholfree.co.uk

I know only 3-4 people post on this thread, but... Anyone know if Rick Burns' fight is being shown in any pub locally-ish ? I've a Scots mate stopping over and this fight would be icing on the cake for us.

He ain't in this house sunshine. Tell yet Mom to get off her effing mobile and start walking. Somewhere else. With you and your stupid pink scooter.

Foxy "I tend to eat as a necessity to stay alive" So you've no condiments in the cupboard, no flavourings and little treats you get yourself now and again to munch on ? Just a drawer of raw ingredients to manufacture the minimum nutrition necessary to continue breathing ? Come on !

Request for info - car crashed into my house
KidKruger replied to celmar's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Jeez - how serious does an incident involving damage, negligence and a vehicle have to be before they will get involved ?! So if it's 'not a crime' the police would have just driven past if they were there ? Yeah right. -
Best places for watching live bands in Dulwich
KidKruger replied to carlos's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
GE has live music every Thursday, it's usually quite 'eclectic' but the musicians playing will be capable in their chosen niche. Perhaps not 'bands' in the generalised sense though, as you'll never get bass/drums/lead and rhythm guitar at the GE. There is other live music locally but not of the 'band' ilk. -
"I know that there are people here who seem by their comments to try every new outlet that opens up. They seem to exist a diet of Coffee and Croissants" Probably a bit of a generalisation, mate. It's a thriving area now and cafe culture (in the non-greasy spoon way) is a bigger part of people's spare time than it used to be - all over the country. So there will be many caf?s and as a consequence some folding/others opening. And people, cos they like caf?s, will wanna try em. Regarding your lifestyle, I wasn't challenging you, specifically. I was just pointing out the obvious reasons why people use caf?s etc. - because you'd asked why people bother when they can do it all at home. Caf?s per se aren't really my thing either, but don't begrudge their existence nor that of their patrons !!
-
C'mon Foxy, your posts here comes over like you're stuck in ED1990 and don't wanna leave. I have fond memories of it then, too, but it's gone now - bro, forever. I gad to laugh at the 'Loyalty' comment. Caf?s aren't football teams, you can float around to any of them depending on what you fancy that day - but I think you know this already. Sometimes you don't have to leave the house only because you need provisions that aren't indoors - you might want to meet people, feel the sun on your face, treat yourself and family, be served, live a little - y'know stuff like that !

I think Spag West was where GBK is now ?

Dry rot, wet rot - How to tell the difference?
KidKruger replied to Alan Medic's topic in The Lounge
if you do the research you can deal with a bit of window rot yourself. -
Parking fine near Peckham Rye Park.
KidKruger replied to KatieJ's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
"Parking restrictions aren't just about whether or not the pavement is wide enough for buggies and wheelchairs; it's a matter of whether the pavement can take the loading of a loaded car/van. Most pedestrian pavements can't take the wheel loading, partly because of the general construction but also because of the depth of what's underneath them (cables/pipes etc." to be fair they can't have it both ways, the pavements can't take the weight of humans walking on them either - check Lordship Lane for an example. -
Wholly independently I doubt it. I don't care anyway I've said my piece. ETA: The child's post has been removed. huh ?! Bizarre.

Thinking about it, Zelig is the only film where I actually got up and left the place, to stand in a pub and wait for my friends.
-
I've made my points already, and quite clearly, so personally I don't need to add anything. If someone has a view which is different, that's great. But there will be differences of opinion. Everything I say on any thread I would happily say to someone's 'face'. If anyone wants to start making age comparisons or other insults, well that's up to you. Good luck. Involving children IMO is sick.

Also any RomCom, they're all shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

Dirty Dancing is unadulterated pewk.

I think if you went to H&G for Haribo you've missed something. For the other stuff in jars, ?1 per 1/4 is ok especially considering the selection.
