  1. I'd be all churned-up over this if it happened to my bin.
  2. "so, to be fair, the bin-men returning the bins won't have known exactly where they all started out from." To be fair, even with nos painted on the bins they still end up in wrong front yard, nowhere near the spot in front yard where they were wheeled from.
  3. I was really pleased to see that guy honking his sax a week or so ago at that spot. What with planes and traffic noises isn't this a welcome relief ? It'd be a shame for him to be moved-on IMO when he's bringing some humanity to an otherwise bland setting. It's a High St. innit.

    PIZZA

For consistency and decent quality, Gowlett. It's actually funny how a pub beats all the pizza houses !!
  5. Not sure Otta I think it's on BoxNation luckily.
  6. Excellent Saturday evening of boxing this coming weekend. Fury v Chisora II Saunders v Eubank Frankie Gavin v Bradley Skeete Plus other stuff on the card (I think Liam Walsh). Been following the build-up ? Who d'ya fancy ? For me it's: Chisora, Eubank, Gavin.
  7. Oh sod off.
  8. I think it's building work - that's what it looks like anyway.
  9. Yeah I used to know one of the organisers of that Nicole Solomons, I went for 3 yes straight if I remember correctly - approx '91 - '94 Did you play there ?!
  10. You guys are in, don't worry. I know you always wanted to play a fest Otta.
  11. Driving to IOW To check out some land, hopefully venue for annual DelFest.
  12. "Call me old fashioned but aren't neighbours always nearby? Unless you're in Alaska. " He's like 400 yards away so for me that's nearby and I still regard him as a neighbour, though for some that may not qualify. But yeah I could have just said neighbour.
  13. I managed to locate some spare Rawlplugs from a nearby neighbour this evening so the towel heater is screwed to the wall and floor now.
  14. Puffs Puffa Rice not being available anymore in shops.
  15. Same here - moved here and bought at 27 as it was cheapest place in London I could find. Looks like I started a propa fashion, place has gone mad with house prices.
  16. Sorry Rah, I just don't see that. You can construe it, but I'm not convinced anyone's bashing cyclists. It seems everyone wants cyclists to be safe.
  17. The FH shop is top !
  18. I'll drive around the block to avoid making a 3 point turn on a busy road. But going round block to park in 'right' direction is a nice-to-have, one that can take considerable time (as drivers will know), a resource I have precious little of most weeks.
  19. Yeah that's ideal world stuff. This is London.
  20. Or perhaps a Chinese takeaway ?
  21. Although I try to always check my mirrors before opening the car door, there's been a couple of near misses - these are usually when it's raining/the mirror has raindrops on it and the cyclist's light is one of those tiny LED flashing affairs. The sort of lights that even without rain or a mirror you'd do well to see them. It's inviting danger IMO. It's a good reminder from the OP, but I do worry for the safety of cyclists who use those weak, blink-and-you'll-miss-it bicycle lights.
  22. Loads of butter, loads of cheddar and loads of sliced onion rings on top. Grill slow to melt the cheese, then hard at the end to crispen the onion a bit.
  23. Gulp......
  24. Errrr.... my post amended !
