  1. I was on crap wages when I was a cleaner for 2 years too, heaven knows why cleaning jobs didn't pay as much as other, more qualified jobs, never did understand that. If you want a better deal you strive for a better job, not use blackmail. If the LU cleaning jobs are paid less than other cleaning jobs (say, in other sectors) then prove your point by going to work there - LU will soon get the idea. To strike over BH days shows less spine and more of a leaning to blackmail.
  2. That's it TED !! It must have been the good old neighbourly peeping Tom, cuddly fella that he is, should have darn well invited him in and let him have a good look around, perhaps give him a copy of holiday/absent dates and what times of day everyone's at work. After all, there's so many 'valid reasons' that he 'could' be glaring through your windows, only leaving the premises when he realises he's been spotted !! Ha ha ha !!!!!!!!!
  3. I've never eaten FG and the thought of it disgusts me, I hate liver.
  4. I think Hickory would know whether there's any need for a bailiff at her own front door. But let's try and excuse away the behaviour - anything to justify it - makes classic reading !!
  5. Now the tube train cleaners are at it: "It is these same staff who have played a key role in keeping services clean and safe who are now forced again by their employers to take action for a living wage and recognition of their efforts," Bob Crow said. Love the '..forced again by their employers..' bit.
  6. I think, unless there's a Jain in the house, no-one's qualified to judge - for fear of bring selective or hypocritical.
  7. Which was my point on 20 Dec: No shame and surreal viewpoint on what side their bread's buttered.

Topic matter seems irelevant. > ParkDrive:That's your opinion and you're entitled to it, regardless of how wide of the mark you may be. But that's all that is happening now Parky, a to-and-fro of trading insults. Your reply says you think otherwise, how so ? The last day or two's exchanges have basically been of the "my Dad's bigger than your Dad" order.
  9. Cool !! It advised me to consider my options again in a month...
  10. Otta yes that's exactly the one, down by Cambridge circus (though I think they've another shop on Denmark St). Cheers !
  11. This Boxing Day striking business is not good PR for Aslef or unions in general, they should pick their battles rather than burn all the goodwill they can find.
  12. I was in the guitar shops around Charing X Rd last Friday and there for sale at Marati's (sp.) were, wait for it, brand new Stylophones - for only ?15....
  13. Polla should be our ops planner, with all those skills and tools !!
  14. But it's just a slagging match now - right ?
  15. No that's not accurate DC - not all sectors operate on Bank Holidays, not because of unions but because they are Bank Holidays. This thread is about Boxing Day strikes (which are a piss-take, 3rd year in a row), it's not contesting the general benefit of unions to the British worker.
  16. Below the cavity is the ground (what were you expecting ?!). The height of cavity can vary.
  17. So the poster obtained a photo of the neighbour they don't like who just happened to have his nose pressed against the poster's lounge window ? We've got a specific scenario here from the OP, lets stick with that eh ? If a poster is on a wind-up then the poster is liable to be found out and exposed.
  18. Agree on public toilets, it's perverse how as population has expanded the provision of loos has been all but depleted.
  19. What would, what if, what do I, what happens, could imply.
  20. I mean posting outside on lamp posts, etc. NOT on this site, we've already covered this and I agree. Also no-one is talking about drunkards - this is about a specific example of a man casing a property.
  21. Posting a photo saying 'this man has been peeping through windows of local house(s)' is not libellous - unless that's not how you took the photo.
  22. JohnL's point is reasonable. If admin / the forum could be compromised in some way then it's not OK to post on EDF. However this is a technical distraction, just one example of where it may not be prudent to display the photo of Mr. Joint-Caser. But the principle of getting the photo out locally or posting on other www channels where the hosts are OK with it I have no problem with. Put pictures on the street, give a copy to police, on public notice boards, etc. Mr. Caser can explain what he was doing if he does not like it. Once the guy is on your property with no good intentions he's waived his 'rights'. FFS

  24. WTF is a guy doing looking in through house windows then leaving when he realises someone IS in the house ? So you'd be happy for guys to do that all day long at your house then because there's no crime being committed ? Give me a break. Casing a joint is not a crime, true enough. Neither is posting pictures of the guy doing it. How else could you take the photo if he's not trespassing on your property and glaring at you through your own goddamn window !! Rights ???
