  2. Well it can, but let?s just see.
  3. TheCat - it?s good practice for Brexit proper !
  4. DulwichFox agreed. Madness. Add to that the present-buying frenzy, wrapping, cards... And THIS is during a pandemic 🤣
  5. DR - it?s good practice for Brexit proper !
  6. redpost - I don?t know how you managed to extrapolate wil72?s comments to that conclusion, must have taken some effort ! Would be intrigued to see the working on that.
  7. jimlad - With hospitals in danger of filling-up and people potentially being turned-away to die somewhere else, do you still hold the same view as you posted previously ? I am not looking for an argument and I consider you to be a solid poster with considered views, but do you think people should be going out and about (if confident enough to), socialising in pubs, rather than hiding from the virus and ruining the economy? jimlad48 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm sorry but I'm afraid I'm of the view that life > needs to go on. 8. rupert james / you seem to ask 3 questions then assume the answer to them all is negative before bashing the entire community !! Did you really mean to do that or you just fell out of the wrong side of bed today !!?!!
  9. Malumbu - what do you mean ?Yes KK 20mph zones? ?! The zones exist (good), are not enforced (defeats the purpose), are ignored by most drivers who get the opportunity to go faster.
  10. 0740 this morning. Right along LL and down Bassano St !
  11. 20mph zone means nothing if not enforced (with harsh penalty).
  12. I believe? If you go through the ?no through road? signs during the times the sign told you not to, you may be liable to a fine/penalty charge notice. In some places I think they will be putting up cameras. However, I think there are some instances where you simply cannot enter the road and then proceed to the other end due to bollards or some other obstacle having been placed there by the council. ETA: There won?t be two sets of cameras on the road, there will just be one, after the sign which says no entry between certain times.
  13. Well if we're going to go down the route of what Brexit impact is ACTUALLY and UNDENIABLY catastrophic, there's probably nothing to complain about right ? I mean, interstate's rates, food shortages/delays, lorries backing-up at ports, inflation, limited travel freedom, none of it kills us, right ? Therefore Brexit is harmless. Right ?! Next level BS.
  14. knock on door and have it out with them or at very least drop a note through their door. posting on here may engender sympathy but won't fix it.
  15. Roadworks have gone.
  16. Yeah, with the term ?solved? clearly being used generously ! I think what?s actually possible to back-up where depends on the pipe layout and gravity, possible though. I hope the landlord or his agents are studying the issue (see what I did there) as closely as we are !
  17. Hmmmm interesting. Looks like at least two things going on here (if plumbing norms have been adhered to). 1. An outlet for (presumably) sink/bath, which has a section missing, so is issuing water to the ground surface outside. 2. A build-up of possibly toilet waste, but unclear where from - possibly a backed-up drain. Ideally the lower gauge outlet in (1) is not the source of the bad stuff because it looks too narrow for toilet waste. If it has been the source perhaps why that section was removed, to resolve a blockage. Whatever the circumstances, dangerous and gross !
  18. I was in court last week at Bexleyheath (Shitehole) explaining why I didn't reply to a letter allegedly sent by the Met for me to provide vehicle/driver details on the enclosed form, which I never received. They had proof of postage. I referred them to look at this thread and explained the problems we've been having as a possible reason why I never received the form. Not Guilty !
  19. I used to live near Fratton Park as a kid, I was a fan of another team but thought I'd try going to my first football match with some friends to Fratton. In the end I didn't go, in fact I gave-up on football as something to actively participate in as a fan, chiefly because of the perpetual violence (ie. Stanley knives and drunken fans) and racism. Watching these fans misbehave was like watching over-sized children who'd just discovered alcohol. Belligerent aggression and vandalism. Utterly pathetic, and far beneath a 15yr old me. Probably these behaviours are overall in the minority, but boy do they do the reputation of football a grave disservice. Shame because there may be many potential fans lost for similar reasons.
  20. I?d guess either because (when enforcement cameras are in place) it?ll generate more fines, or specifying date ranges / conditions for restrictions is too much hassle to put on a sign. Or both. 21. Of course. Just suggesting for those who can get out with friends, obviously the distance was a bit extreme too ! siousxiesue Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Not everyone can do this, either lack of > opportunity of different circumstances. > > I agree about night time walking, beginning to > prefer it now! > > > KidKruger Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Just get together with a few friends and head > > off. > > I meet some chums one night each week for a > decent > > walk and catch-up. > > Last week was ED to Westminster to Southbank to > > London Bridge to ED. 11.3 miles apparently. > > No need for pubs !! > > > > ETA: And night-time is much MUCH quieter.
  22. Ossito - I fear strategic vision and plan plays second fiddle to short-termist ambitions of a very few people in a position to exploit the outcome (which they played a part in creating) and become even richer.
  23. Just get together with a few friends and head off. I meet some chums one night each week for a decent walk and catch-up. Last week was ED to Westminster to Southbank to London Bridge to ED. 11.3 miles apparently. No need for pubs !! ETA: And night-time is much MUCH quieter.
  24. Trinny All that?s happened is England shot the U.K. in the foot, probably both feet, on purpose. No-one else to blame for the hell to follow this next couple of decades.
