    eco tips

Showering. -turn shower on and get in -wet yourself -turn shower off -soap / shampoo yourself up -turn shower on -rinse off Most time in a shower is wasting water. Gallons of entitlement. If people had to carry water they'd inspect their consumption.

    eco tips

-shower weekly -wash in the morning from max 2pints of water (then slowly progress down to 1/2 pint) -brush teeth from a small cup of water, not a running tap -don't wash-up dishes under a running tap -only use tap to use the water from it, not pour water pointlessly down the drain while you scrub something or wander off -eat veg -only flush the brown not the yellow -catch rain in big tubs ad save washing-up water and water used to wash rice/lentils/pasta, it can all be used on the garden instead of fresh water -don't waste food these all play a part in reducing your environmental footprint.
  4. pepper spray. sorted.
  5. Perhaps there is provision at Southwark Recycling Centre ?
  6. Yep, that pretty much sums-up how road closures have been done around here. Take the shit off one road and put it somebody else?s road.
  7. Correct, absolutely shocking, but we sort of suspected the data was perverted for specific aims.
  8. absolutely. This is why I never go into a bus lane (where we are within the restriction period) even with an ambulance behind me / needing to pass. If the system can't handle revocation of penalties in these situations, then I will avoid those situations. sjsl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I was issued a fine for moving into a bus lane to > allow a fire engine to pass safely in Acre Lane ? > on the photos it clearly showed the blue-lighted > engine coming at me. 9. no, I was turning left out of the station, smart arse. Did you appeal it?
  10. DR that's something I desperately want to unsee !!
  11. Not from the Westernmost strand of Peckham Rye, no, correct. But this change is talking about the Easternmost strand of Peckham Rye. So there will be NO way to turn right to ED when heading South on Peckham Rye to ED Road brambles Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Do you mean turn left into east dulwich road > You can?t turn right into east dulwich road for > years
  12. slarti - if they'd just consulted us on EDF, anyone on here could predict the outcomes we are now seeing due to LTNs. The words 'science' and 'rocket' are not appropriate at this time.
  13. Get a flashing glowing collar. Dogs don?t care, really.
  14. Ha ha I didn?t understand it either. Imagine how much money they made on that one. As I pulled out to go in the far lane, the guy who was giving way to me moved forward a bit (while still offering me to go in front of him in the far lane) so instead of going straight across into the far lane, I had to go about 20 feet along bus lane to take the gap being offered to me - behind him was solid traffic. That?s why they got me. Totally predatory though. 15. I got caught several years ago leaving a gas station on Stansted Road. I had to cross the bus lane to get to the outside lane and as I did so I was photographed and fined.
  16. Jesus !! Round the corner from me, gulp.
  17. UG, it's not about tolerating things or holding a particular view. My OCD sometimes just won't allow me to ignore things that are not positioned correctly, and reading "..both of them had contempt for Boris .." as if it was some kind of conspiracy or bias is patently wrong. On any planet. If the reporters regard BJ in any form of contempt it would be logical, surely ? Hence I point out (probably 10% of) why anyone rational would hold BJ in utter contempt. I get how he hoodwinked millions with lies, I get he won the election (albeit against weak opposition) on a populist vote, I get he is in power now, I get he's still popular to many. But none of this deletes my point, does it ? You can bang on about left v right, but that's not my thing and your generalisation is lame. In this instance I'm merely calling a spade a spade. If you got a problem with that - disprove what I wrote, demonstrate his qualities (I expect a short list) or quit with the lazy typing ! uncleglen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > KidKruger Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > To be fair seenbeen, anyone who does not have > > contempt for Boris must either simply not care > > about this country and the people in it or be > > pretty dim. > > A proven liar, a proven slacker, a proven > > morally-bankrupt philanderer, a proven savant > of > > the Tory seniors and captains of industry, a > > proven lack of substance. > > Who filled the cabinet with inexperienced > friends > > as we deal with (or not 'deal' - 'oven ready' > > anyone ?) departure from Europe and prioritises > > votes, bluster and ?millions to friends' fake > > companies over welfare of the people during a > > pandemic. > > ?350 million per week to NHS ? > > 'Oven Ready' deal ? > > 'world Beating' track and trace ? > > SAGE saying if BJ had locked down a couple of > > weeks earlier than the initial (pretend, > because > > then it was just being called 'restrictions') > > 'lockdown', we'd have half the deaths. > > Yeah, contempt would be a pretty good behaviour > > for anyone that actually cares about what is > going > > on. 18. Yes, of the two gates on the the South Circular A205 (an East West road) the gate by the riding school is the Easternmost.
  19. Not sure what the OP means. If it's "impossible to steer into the buslanes", then "fines from driving in and out of the bus lanes" is surely impossible ?
  20. To be fair seenbeen, anyone who does not have contempt for Boris must either simply not care about this country and the people in it or be pretty dim. A proven liar, a proven slacker, a proven morally-bankrupt philanderer, a proven savant of the Tory seniors and captains of industry, a proven lack of substance. Who filled the cabinet with inexperienced friends as we deal with (or not 'deal' - 'oven ready' anyone ?) departure from Europe and prioritises votes, bluster and ?millions to friends' fake companies over welfare of the people during a pandemic. ?350 million per week to NHS ? 'Oven Ready' deal ? 'world Beating' track and trace ? SAGE saying if BJ had locked down a couple of weeks earlier than the initial (pretend, because then it was just being called 'restrictions') 'lockdown', we'd have half the deaths. Yeah, contempt would be a pretty good behaviour for anyone that actually cares about what is going on. This reporters know full well they're interviewing a goon.
  21. Either way, I don't see how having your own cup refilled is going to spread / pick-up Covid. Perhaps the fear is that just the general air you're sat in is carrying Covid, which may settle on your cup ? But if that was the case, Covid can settle on every disposable cup too.
  22. Thing is, how is it OK for a Govt to specify that people should buy diesel cars (because they're / were seen as better for the envt) then tell them their cars will now incur a daily penalty for just parking, as they always have, on their own street. If half of London has bought cars the Govt advised them to, it's not OK to suddenly change course and tell those people who followed the guidelines they're now wrong. While somehow spectacularly making ?millions in penalising those car owners. This doesn't instil (as if any were possible these days..) much trust in the Govt.
  23. Does that mean sex is legal if OUTside (for "Tier 2 couples living apart") ? diable rouge Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sex banned indoors for Tier 2 couples living > apart, No 10 confirms > > At least Artful will be pleased, dogging is still > legal under Tier 2 rules...
  24. Yeah 68 is cool, so back-off with the jibes.
  25. Yes, it's been discussed on here on and off the best part of a couple of years. Gonna be fun seeing approx 2million vehicles get fined.
