  1. Yep, landlords have debts and outgoings like everyone else. Tough time for ALL.
  2. That?s really crazy.
  3. They have pinch of salt dispensers at Aldi in Peckham, I think they are next to the splash of milk jugs
  4. had some good nights in there, especially the open mic nights last year / into early this year.
  5. Thanks. I've filled-in the Plea Form and declared not guilty and attached a note explaining issues in SE22 with post. I also indicated this thread on EDF and suggested they have a look, because it could be affecting their comms with their 'defendants'. 6. Ouch ! I recently received what looks like a summons for court for what appears to be not filling-in and returning a form requesting 'name and address of driver' from Met Police. I never received any form from the Met, so it took me a while to figure out what this is about. I had a collision with a cyclist in Peckham and we went through the insurance route and the case is I think now all but closed, so my details are know by all parties. But I never received any form from the Met and am now having to go to court to plead ! I feel like I've been blindsided, but this could mean penalty points on my licence ! Anyone had experience of this or have advice ?
  7. I?m not sure rhinitis is contagious (if that?s what you mean by ?infective?).
  8. All that Western-influenced "another take on vegetables" stuff is a bit facile, really. If you're going to eat vegetables, they're best as just that - vegetables! They don't need reconstituting as a 'sausage', 'bacon', or 'mince meat' (which 'meat' exactly ?). Asian recipes usually best IMO for vegetables, or just eat them raw !
  9. How odd...

  11. How odd.
  12. What's with the preoccupation of some people/groups in the sexuality of other people ?! Same sex, whatever. Surely any consensual relationship is a positive thing.
  13. I commented on this tread on 16/9, having seen earlier posts which enabled me to contact the police officer and do a speed watch with him. But you're saying that because you didn't see the earlier posts that thread must have somehow been hidden ? If it was hidden how did I, and others (whose posts are there to see) see the thread and participate in it ?! I must be misinterpreting what you're saying.
  14. sorry not with you. this thread has been available to everyone to see since the OP started it ?
  15. Clutterqueen: " strange as I've been on the forum every day > and this has only just been posted". Huh ?
  16. I have emailed Southwark and received a reply that funerals sometimes are short notice. My reply has been that we don't need a great deal of notice, on the Nunhead Cemetery page of Southwark's website, when the COUNCIL determine there will be a funeral, just SOME notice. Not a week's notice, not 3 days notice, not even necessarily a day's notice - just advise us when they come to know themselves. That way most of us will have a chance to spot it by checking the webpage before setting-off. Sounds simple. Perhaps it's too simple.
  17. the link works fine, it's further up this thread. do some scrolling and you will find it. "2112 people have signed this ePetition." first mate Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What is the latest on the Southwark Road Closure > petition? 18. "Cars have had priority on this street for too many years." So, when one moves to live on a street and it has traffic, you sort of know that's the deal. And it IS a road, after all. Cars have priority on streets - yes, pedestrians have priority on pavements, cyclists in cycle lanes, airplanes above airports, shipping on rivers and the sea. It sorts of works like that..
  19. Doesn't make sense to me. If your street gets a CPZ, I'd expect you NOT to be able to park on adjacent streets immediately outside the CPZ due to increased / perpetuated use of those non-controlled parking spaces.
  20. Renata - Nunhead Cemetery has been closed twice that I know if in the last week or so. It would be really handy to know when these closures are planned for. Funerals are not ad-hoc events, they require planning and a scheduled date/time. If the Council know to close the cemetery, isn't there a way of advising users of the space too ? There is a page on Southwark's website for Nunhead Cemetery: https://www.southwark.gov.uk/parks-and-open-spaces/parks/nunhead-cemetery "Cemetery closure for funerals The cemetery will be closed when funerals are taking place to help make the area safer for grieving family and friends, at an incredibly difficult time. Please note that some closures for funerals may be at short notice; we appreciate your patience and understanding." ...but no funeral is at such short notice that it can't be actually arranged and scheduled - and wardens of the park not informed to close the gates. ETA: I have emailed same to Southwark's Cemetery & Crematoria department.
  21. This petition is already linked from, and the ever-increasing no. of votes, reported in, several other threads already. Perhaps remove this thread, for sanity ?
  22. So you?re not ?glad? about your Glads !
  23. And other people will be belligerent and refuse to own their own shit.
