People are ignoring distancing everywhere, all over the country. On marches, in the street, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, parks, the lot. None of these are solely to blame, obviously. Collectively, they present a specific problem, when we?re trying to absolve ourselves of a nasty pandemic.

So where is original owner based and was chap who appeared to have position of dog last night (Barry Rd) the actual owner ? Had there been a theft of this dog ?

I never understood the logic (if you're trying to moderate infections) of opening pubs, which are basically legalised drug establishments. So, people will come and take the drug and while on it they are expected to follow some distancing rules, etc. Obvious recipe for disaster, especially as here in UK the point for many of going to the pub is to get sloshed at which point the rules go out the window. But the logic I would apply is not the logic the govt applied - their focus is economy, in respect of pub openings.

Just walk around SE22 at night and see the outside drinking, doesn?t look any different than pre-pandemic. After a couple of beers no one cares about the rules.

And worse, this person is actually a teacher. Can you imagine the impact on kids' development this person could have. You'd think any school would want to know their staff are dangerous (or rather, not following the 'sheeple').

I thought the point of Govt referring to both pubs/schools in the same sentence is because either being open will inevitably cause infections and they fear having both open will potentially overwhelm the NHS. That's my take on it - could be wrong though.

There's some extended threads on here I believe covering both 'legal' smoke and 'illegal' (substance) smoke. In both cases it's clearly fraught with frustration and anxiety. You could work out cost of air purifiers for every room and subtract that from the offer to the seller, just thinking out loud. Sounds like a hiding to nothing dealing with smokers. They're addicted, it's all but impossible to give-up, so this problem won't vanish unfortunately. Even a vast reduction in the asking price won't fix your concerns, ultimately. How old is the person ? Perhaps if they're 70+ you could ask them to up their habit to 60 per day (you pay) and hope for the 'best'.

Assume the green bottles have just been on a dog/cat/fox poo in the next garden.

If shiny paint on walls in bathroom/kitchen, probably vinyl paint to avoid paper absorbing moisture. Lining paper is not unusual.

This is surely going to cause more than just traffic problems ? How does one apply to have one's street (or your own part of the street) made 'car-less', or do you have to be a councillor or have someone from the council in your pocket ?

Hmmm, a bit confused. There's at least one poster on here who was defending the overnight revellers on Peckham Rye with their sound systems and littering and noise (when other posters were questioning it), yet seems to think a tea dance on a Saturday morning is worth trying to stop. Inconsistent. Yet consistent.

If the bathroom is adequately vented you needn't automatically get mould (from condensation). Or could be they've done a quick paint job having wiped the mould away ! I have rooms lined and painted, not a problem (though I lined the walls / ceilings TO paint). It's hard to predict what'll happen if you take that flat and paint over the lining paper - not being able to see the walls, nor know how long ago it was pasted-up.

Fly paper is just the best.
