  1. Horses for courses I suppose, but why oh why are people - during the time of a pandemic which only transmits through close contact and contaminated surfaces - going to pubs, of all places ? Actually, no, it's not even horses for courses, because that's about personal preference. We're in a serious pandemic, where is the collective responsibility ?
  2. well the w@nker who just pushed past me from behind with no warning happened to be a 'jogger' !

  4. From your description sounds like she expected the behaviour from her dog, possibly. Aggressive dogs should be on lead really, that way the owner can steer away from trouble. But if off-lead, definitely muzzled if it's a biter.
  5. In that case if I was the woman with the pram I would have stood and waited, he would have moved. She didn't want to wait and he wasn't responsive enough to people approaching. Lynne Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Stationary at that moment
  6. there's already a couple of threads been running for months regarding Royal Mail deliveries in SE22
  7. skipping stationary or skipping as he goes along the pavement ?
  8. When I drove up Townley yesterday 2pm there was no signage/cameras I could see regarding restrictions on this street (though apparently restrictions are live now ?). I also checked Southwark website before setting-off and there was nowt useful I could find regarding whether signage was up / confirmation of 'allowed' times. 9. Love their lamb dansak x
  10. So basically we/ van drive down Townley, avoiding fines, between 10am - 3pm. Has anyone tried/tested this pls ? Just don't wanna get caught-out later.. wallsend Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 8-10 and 3-6 > > But you can always travel in the opposite > direction to the cameras of course.
  11. Should be OK. I think it only becomes a problem when your trying to service like 3 bathrooms. Combo technology is well tried and tested and improved over recent years, choose a good make and should last a couple of decades at least.
  12. If I can predict pavements failing after a short number of years and the contractor can't (although obviously they can, and know there will be repeat custom as a result) there's a problem. I'm just basing my statement on their work elsewhere including LL and surrounding seats. Forgive my cynicism, I just dislike repeat mistakes.
  13. Yes I watched the PresDeb last night. As you say, mudslinging instead of policy. There was a stark contrast between the measured, clear, policy statements from one candidate and the deep insults, flagrant disinterest in key issues and blatant lies of the other. I think this was the first time I?ve seen Trump unable to shout down his opponent at will. The effect for me was that he was floundering and is clearly ill-equipped to be even near Government. Exposed as the fake. You have to wonder about the mentality of those who vote for Trump after the last few weeks, and fear for the Country as a whole.
  14. I?d basically act unhappy about it and ask why the unit he fitted is leaking after only 3yrs. Good luck. It could be anything, even the seal on the waste fitting (plug hole), not clear from description what?s actually happening. I?ve had very rare copper (Yorkshire, or end-feed) fitting failures, but it?s all down to who does the work and how well they do it. 15. ?1 million homes ? Oh I see, you're aiming that comment at the little people. A mere ?1 million is basically a flat in East Dulwich nowadays, isn't it ? Out of interest UG, what's your perceived value of your house ? Presumably about 89p, the way you seem to have a grudge against those with only ?1 million. (accidentally sent the above as a PM. Sorry UG, was meant for all, not yours alone) uncleglen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > diable rouge Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Exactly BB, it's the predictability of Brexit > that > > makes it more unique than all those events > cited > > above. 16. On a more serious note, I have been following the COB news and narrative regarding the US election for some months now until the wee early hours (as one has to, to catch the live info). I am horrified at the current President and his behaviours, dialogue and disregard. It's utterly shocking. And so is that of his advisors, family and supporters (or a great number of them at least). We all know how he got into power, hopefully never to be repeated, but additional controls need to be put in place to ensure this mockery of the position doesn't occur again.

  18. Let's run a book on how long these new pavements remain level and puddle-free. I say 9 months until the first sunken area.
  19. Bang on comment. Unfortunately, the people using the park are not the priority when these decisions regarding parking were made. People using the park do not qualify for that attention, unless they can be milked of cash somehow - just a commodity-based view now it seems. sandyman Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I thinks what's particularly harsh about Dulwich > Park's parking regs is that they apply 24 hours a > day. 20. Yeah, Melbourne.
  21. So a really useful resource has a deterrent (paying) and its now being under-used.
  22. How many do you want, I think I know someone.
  23. I saw the owner locking-up/opening-up a couple of days ago, so he's still around
  24. Who said it's about rights ? I'd suggest it's more about courtesy of a shared space. This has all been done to death in the Spring in other threads on EDF, it's all there. binkylilyput Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I remain confused about why people jogging have > less right to be on a footpath than walkers? 25. ie. Outlook (on laptop), or whatever mail app your phone has (usually a phone's mail app has to be pointed to AOL/whatever provider the email traffic will be operated through).
