if the "liberals " like socialism so much, then why dont they go and live in North Korea?

my word a Mail article that does seem to have some sensible points "A 40p per unit alcohol levy is a tax on the poor, most of whom are perfectly capable of drinking responsibly. It would make more sense to police existing laws more effectively rather than to make responsible drinkers suffer just so that Downing Street can shift the news agenda after a disastrous reaction to the heavily leaked Budget this week. A minimum 40p per unit of alcohol will not have any effect on middle class drinkers who enjoy cocktails and a bottle or two of Pouilly Fume with dinner most nights a week. It will not in reality do anything other than catch the eye today, which is what the announcement is really about." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2119191/Bullingdon-Tax-wrong-solution-Britains-alcohol-problem.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

have a look at the drink aware trustees - most of them are brewers and retailers - its not difficult to see that even this charity is shackled by the avaristic clawing greed of the piss industry

just a pedantic interjection - the white lightning stuff isnt cider - its carbonated apple juice mix with a few slugs of chemical alchohol added - no brewing required. this is why its so cheap. It is aimed at kids palettes - its just a delivery system to allow kids to get smashed obviously the delightful British retailers consortium & the turd smeared alcohol producer lobby and PR groups can come out with mealy mouthed shite about how the taxes and regulations will affect the sensible drinker, but they dont make money out of the sensible drinker any more - the want to get the kids into their products as soon as possible to ensure future reveune streams. Not that they will ever admit this. We are not as far from the hogartharian images of yore as we might think and these bastards will not rest until we are all mainlining their merchandise.

a parting word - I have no issue with personal belief. As long as it doesnt affect me or my life, then I have no problem with anyone beleiving whatever they want. I know a few people with strong belief and I can honestly say, they are decent, caring and straight folk, who contribute much more to society than I will ever do. This is not a rant at you or your faith. /thread killed

Catholisism is more about Mary than the baby Jebus - the virgin mother fetishised by repressed men who have no experience of dealing with the opposite sex in real life - its logical to conclude that real women are second class when measured against this yardstick.

Dont tell the truth to the coppery in cases like this, they dont want the paperwork but if presented with a statement that confesses guitly, they will have to make it official. I saw a cyclist at London bridge get oushed into the railings by an arsehole in a Merc - cyclist remonstated, merc driver got in his face and sneered / laughed/ poked him in the chest.cyclist backed off and reactions made him swing for the driver and hit him in the nose - blood everywhere. the Driver called the filth - they waited - I told the cyclist to fuck off sharpish as this isnt going to end well - he wanted the police to sort this out, as he was a straight middle class city worker aged about 40. He got nicked.

"Honour" in terms of organised religion is shorthand for the continued assertion of male power, despite mealy mouthed shitehawks claiming otherwise - women are still chattels to most religions, to be bought and sold as required. If there is a God, then he should hopefully be waiting for these fuckers to come along and meet him so he can smite their parochial, narrow minded posteriors before sending them on the down elevator to meet Satan.

I think Gingerbeer should watch Jonathon Meades last batch of docs about France to get some idea of how we view the French

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-17442603 ""The Visitators also encountered a certain tendency, not dominant but nevertheless fairly widespread among priests, religious and laity, to hold theological opinions at variance with the teachings of the Magisterium, this serious situation requires particular attention," said the report." = Mealy mouthed toss "The Pope expressed horror in the wake of the Ryan and Murphy reports, which revealed a 70-year history of child abuse by a significant number of priests, brothers and nuns and cover-ups by their religious superiors." Really ? its not like there has ever been any suggestion of wrongdoing in the past,say,200 years. Time is up for the Catholic Church as it stands. The senior management of this nazi peadophile death cult should be held accountable. and drowned in a font filled with their own urine. /shouty broadcast ends
