Hi Jah Lush It was a problem at our end, I think it has to do with the amount of posts on there, it screws up the system. If you look at the very first post there is a note from me that says: Note from Admin: There seems to have been a bug in the system that merged two discussions together, "Single Guys in ED" and "Football Focus", as Football focus was the largest (by about 250 pages!) this has become the main thread. Sorry about that.

Post about it again and I will ban you. Comprendez? This is the ask Admin thread, not the "I'm going to have one last dig at someone about something not related to Asking Admin" thread.

It was just a friendly piece of advice to point out the obvious, any belief that the thought police are in your head is just, well, in your head. It's good to hear the forum is useful to families, and so rather than go off on one because we're reminding people about the benefits and importance of GPs, can anyone help Polly D (who has actually asked for suggestions from forum parents).

I don't take sides between bickering forum users. If they break the rules then I act, but please leave me out of it, don't make up stuff about me and just sort it out yourselves. Like grown ups. I may introduce a rule, something like "the forum, especially the ED issues section, shall not be used to air personal gripes about others."

Hi AM Yes, the forum software knows what you're about to type and writes it out so you don't have to. Then when you press submit it changes it to nonsensical rubbish just to do your head in. No, there is no predictive text element. Only one of the above statements is true.

Hi It is a good idea but unfortunately we do not have the facilities, time or a team who can implement such a system. There are other sites out there with such systems in place but they are sites set up as businesses with money behind them, this was set up by Mark as a hobby/fun thing to do. Maybe a business would like to assist the forum by investing in it and helping to introduce such a system, it has 34,000 registered users so it would certainly reach a good few customers.

Please can we stop these personal comments between Straferjack and monica. monica, I did not say that you have "recommended them 6 more times, then [sic] the "average forum user"". I said no one else has recommended a company on this forum (that no-one else has also recommended) more than 70 times. This has made people suspicious that there is some sort of connection between you and the company, which is why your posts have received complaints and I agree with those complaints that it is an abnormal amount of times for an individual to recommend a company that no one else recommends.

Hi Monica I have replied to your message via PM. Related to that and in aswer to this question, you have recommended a certain building company 76 times (no-one else has recommended them) and you were asked not to recommend them any more but you continued to do so. A block has been put on the company's name as it is unfair on other users to give you special privileges to continually promote a company, especially as I received complaints from users that you are recommending them too many times.

Please contact the school directly of information, please don't rely on this forum for making potential life shaping decisions about your child's future, that would be silly. Libellous comments are removed so users many have not seen all of them. If you do see any please report them. If users are wish to continue discussing topics which we have asked them not to discuss for legal reason then please post up your real name, address and contact number with each post so that you can be contacted directly by any legal bodies that wish to contact you. Hi Every now and then we have to clean up the forum database because it gets too big. This usually involves deleting threads which haven't been touched for 4-5 months in various areas of the forum. I suspect your messages may been culled in of these clean ups. There is a donate link in the bottom left hand corner of every page, please feel free to contribute to this forum that gives you a large percentage of your work. It won't stop old threads being deleted but would be a nice way to show your gratitude.

Hi Just to expand on what StraferJack said, it would be appreciated if pictures could be hosted off site. At the moment we are having to delete files/attachments/images from messages that are stored in the forum database if they're older than 4 months. We might reduce this to 2 months as the 'files' table in the database is still 2Gb which is way too big and slows down the forum. As mum says, "every little helps"
