  1. Just to add that there was an unverified sighting in the Peckham/SE London area recently, hence this post being on the forum.
  2. Ruffers, I see what you mean, when I cleaned the database of old posts recently I must have deleted the advice sticky thread in the For Sale section and not noticed. I'll put a new one up soon.
  3. Thanks Hal but we don't use an image uploader on this site.
  4. If you can change the word bump to b-umper then you'll be fine. Sounds like a nice scooter by the way.
  5. Good idea however I would rather not use the space at the top of the list with an instruction, it should be for announcements. What I can do is put a How To Reduce Picture Size link above the text box where people post, that will link to a message in the About the forum section explaining how it's done. I just need someone to write that post.
  6. Please can explain exactly what you are trying to do, and then what happens when you try to do it.
  7. Good question, I've just had a look and Google Analytics does not record the ingnoreuser link as a page, but if you can tell me how to measure it e.g. in a custom report or similar then I can set it up. I'm assuming you want the colon clicking stats.
  8. Wasn't me, I was at the sipping cappuccino all day with friends.
  9. Dear Narnia Sorry you feel that way. The fixing posts in the Drawing Room was done by The Chair, I don't go in there, so I suggest you should address that question to them. The highlighting of adverts has only just been done (in the last couple of hours), but you have pre-empted my "Hi Narnia, please have a look at the ads, I hope you think it's an improvement" message. I hope that answers your questions.
  10. psst, don't tell anyone but if you look at someone's post, then click on the ":" in "Posted by: username...". As pointed out by HAL9000 there is a bug (error) that occurs when you initially click the ":", the page scrolls to the top and you think 'what happened there?'. Enjoy [edited once]
  11. Hi Ruffers The forum down was just a bit of database optimising. The dotted lines are about the extent of the excitement I'm afraid, I was just trying to emphasise the sponsored links a bit more without it being too in yer face. Just tried adding the ignore user module but it doesn't seem to work, apologies.
  12. Moving this to the Lounge now, good the hear Hannibal was found.
  13. Please, this is not the Lounge.
  14. Muffins78, a police officer has been trying to get hold of you for a while, please can you contact me for details. If anyone knows mufins78 please could you ask her to contact me Sorry for the public message, I have tried other methods of contact but no reply.
  15. Hi Silverfox I do not intend to do any analysis of the EDF voting but if you wish to discuss it and analyse it please do so on the poll thread: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?27,452526
  16. I think you maybe sharing an IP with some naughty people that have been blocked, I'll drop you an email later and we'll hopefully sort something out.
  17. Callie I guess it is ok now as you are posting messages.
  18. Sorry, some posts removed for being off topic.
  19. Q: Computer, tell me how many threads in the Wanted, For Sale and What's on section were started more than 6 months ago? A: 89,450 Jeez, I guess no one can be selling, wanting or advertising events that are more than 6 months old can they?
  20. It is not a case of "that post is full of life and more than 6 months old, I'm going to delete it" it's a case of... Q: Computer, tell me how many threads in the Wanted, For Sale and What's on section were started more than 6 months ago? A: 89,450 Jeez, I guess no one can be selling, wanting or advertising events that are more than 6 months old can they?* Please delete them. It has nothing to do with harshness and it was not an act whose sole aim was to deliberately remove your thread. *I was wrong
  21. I don't think they are in the What's on, For sale or Wanted Section so they should be fine.
  22. Actually I have just found (and installed) a facility in the delete messages process that says "select messages whose last message was before (date)" so I can excluded threads that have recent posts. Thanks Narnia.
  23. no, unfortunately there is not a 'delete inactive threads after a certain period of time' option however it would be nice.
  24. In future I will not delete threads in the What's on section without a warning.
