  1. No problem, now keep it on topic of the Magdala/Magnolia please.
  2. Moving it to the Lounge as it is no longer East Dulwich specific.
  3. Please stay on topic which is the Adventure Bar
  4. Sorry Asset, I was not meaning to have a pop either, my omnipresent authoritarian tone can sometimes comes across like that when it is not really meant to.
  5. Three threads locked does not make'th a craze. If someone asks me to lock a discussion they have started because they feel they are getting abuse, have started something that is now pointless repetitive and they do not want to have to continually answer the same questions again and again etc then I will usually lock the thread upon request. It doesn't happen often, probably six times in the last year or so, so it is probably not worth starting a revolution about the management curtailing the freedom of speech. And it is not about "ownership" of a thread, they are not owned by anyone. They may have been started by someone and therefore I give them bias about their request to lock it but I do refuse requests to lock threads sometimes. But you do not know about these. I am going to move this thread to the "about the forum" section because it is about the forum.
  6. Stay on topic please
  7. Please stay on topic.
  8. This thread has now been locked on request.
  9. A lot of people put posts such as "cleaner" in the ED issues & gossip section, these are moved and titles changed. When something is not an ED issue or gossip and posted in that section (such as when something is wanted e.g. advice) it is also moved to the "Wanted, offered & recommendations" section, and (wanted) or similar is put in the title to drive it home to people. And it works. So to answer your question, yes it is obvious to you that it is advice wanted however not to others. We try and cover all bases. As this message is about the forum, I am moving it to the about the forum section.
  10. Lounged. I can not have this in the East Dulwich issues/gossip section anymore.
  11. This thread has been locked on request of the original poster, Madworld74.
  12. If the original poster, Marmora Man, wishes me to lock or move this thread I will. Otherwise it will have to wait to be Lounged, or preferably it will get back on topic.
  13. Please stay on topic.
  14. Keep this on topic of the Best restaurant in SE London please.
  15. Lounged - no longer East Dulwich specific
  16. Moving this to the Lounge
  17. Please be aware of others sensitivities and try not to make this thread a place for personal lambasting.
  18. Moving this to the Lounge area now
  19. Please stay on topic of th Best restaurant in SE London.
  20. This thread is no longer about East Dulwich so I am moving it out of the East Dulwich issues section. I love the smell of Lounging in the morning.
  21. Sorry to take this off topic but I will be brief. In a previous thread the user Shu.Kurimu.Sensei posted a message about how his partner was racially offended, NatashD replied in a manner that was also offensive, complaints were received and so she was warned about her behaviour, again. She had previously done this before on a thread where someone was racially offended. And now, in this instance NatashaD has posted an antagonistic and provocative message referring to the previous racial offence, complaints have been received and I have decided to act. NatashaD's account has now been deactivated, again. She was previously Spangles30 who was banned for similar behaviour. I do not want people who are continually abusive and deliberately antagonistic on the forum, people are of course entitled to express their opinion but not when it is aimed at getting a rise and offending others. Not in this house, especially after having been warned. If anyone has any questions or comments please PM me directly. Anyway, let us get back on topic of card cloning in East Dulwich...
  22. Sent to the forum via email: Hi - could you please include this statement on your community website in response to recent concerns regarding our East Dulwich store. Somerfield statement: Our security teams are currently investigating these reports and liaising with the banks to establish whether there is a connection with our store in Lordship Lane. At this stage the banks have not confirmed a link and we our satisfied that our systems have been thoroughly checked and store security procedures have been followed correctly. Somerfield maintains its vigilance to this type of crime and continues to liase closely with the banks and the specialist police unit which deals with this type of fraud to ensure that our customers are protected at all times. Anyone who thinks they are affected by card fraud should immediately alert their bank. In the unlikely event a cardholder is an innocent victim of this or any type of fraud, they have excellent protection under The Banking Code, which means that they will not suffer any financial loss. Many thanks Kind Regards Julie Julie Daniels Community PR and Events Manager Somerfield Press Office 0117 9356811
