  1. Some of us have been around long enough to remember the days when a Boots meal deal (egg and cress, Walkers ready salted and a can of tango) was your only lunch du jour. Of course that was before you fell under the spell of Pret?s middle class sandwich marketing machine.
  2. How does a bacon sandwich treat you with apparent kindness while betraying a feeling of superiority? Are these the 'caff' bacon sarnies the ones that are usually a big slab of tasteless gammon with an undercooked fatty rind hanging limply off the side? Yum..

Concorde - well over 100db. Due to the logarithmic nature of decibels, this would make Concorde 8 times louder than an aircraft going overhead now) !!! (The difference of course is that Concorde goes over once whereas the other planes go over all the time in a sustained fashion)

  7. He did ok, but let's be honest it was dull as dishwater

  11. It certainly won't be long before they nail him up.
  12. I have also noticed strange astrological phenomena - the unexplained convergence of three stars in the heavens and - only this morning - the image of a kindly, bearded man appearing on my morning toast. He Walks Amongst Us.

  16. The great news is that now you've started two threads about it on the local very well-read internet forum, they're guaranteed to have seen them both. Congratulations - you are now officially 'at war' for the next ten years.

  18. This is definitely something you should make a big deal over. I mean it's not as if you have to live next door to each other; see each other every day; hear each other over the fence / through the wall all the time .. or possibly have other neighbour-related issues that might need joint co-operation in the future which will in due course be influenced by you seething over not being able to watch Eggheads - so yes - it's absolutely vital for your own wellbeing and future happiness that you escalate this situation as early as possible.

    Question

Could be Amish, Jeremy - worth checking before you make the call. There's a documentary called 'Witness' where you can find out all you need to know - and also catch a brief glimpse of Kelly McGillis with her top off.

So video editing, motorcycle maintenance, the ability to, er, work independently as well as part of a team.. Great selection of hats. They're role models, really.
  22. I'm sure most of the copyright infringing on SC is down to DJ mixes. I think PRS are suggesting they need to get a licence if they allow their members' music to be streamed..
  23. Coincidentally PRS announced they're launching legal action against Soundcloud today.
  24. Don't flounce, 'vesty. It was probably just a case of 'one post too many at the same in the same style with a hint of more of the same on the way' - which can start to look a bit like clutter that needs tidying to the volunteer admin(s) on here.
  25. Grim. There are some things in life you should definitely worry about - and would have hoped that someone at the time should have worried a bit more on your behalf. Then there are other things no-one really need worry about - but someone decides it's a 'story' and some kind of major threat to society at large. That's life - full of nonsense.
