  3. Can someone please help Jeremy get his sex dungeon / frozen meat storage project off the ground! Why do some houses have cellars anyway and others don't - even when in a row of similar houses all built at the same time? Those crazy victorians!
  4. I think we have to have 'Village Grocer' in there as well. I reckon Village Grocer trumps 'Organic Village' too.

  6. The rules are simple: just add to the list the name of any local shop with a name that's twee, hip, a blatant plea to a certain demographic, or just plain daft - as and when it appears. Extra points for a name that scores in more than one category. Truly Scrumptious Organic Village Pussey Liquor Pipkin&Co *NB: you can still give them your business. Adding to the list does not make you a bad person etc etc

    Greece...

Merkel doesn't want to go down in history as the Chancellor that started the European exit and Greece must know this - so I think the current situation will draw itself out for the time being. But eventually Greece will go, followed by various others.

One wonders how many pages of the learned paper were spun-out over the deep insights gained by observing a cat meowing at an empty bowl.
  10. I suppose you can grade animals according to their intelligence, but it would be along the same lines as 'which of these brooms would make the best radio'

Seems every time I get around to (finally) looking at pensions, there's another potential fly in the ointment on the horizon. I'm just going to have to stuff money under the mattress.

Which pensions allow savings to be withdrawn tax-free (beyond the 25% lump?)
  13. But does anyone know what tipped Gary over the edge? I MUST KNOW
  14. I still haven't got a bloody clue what this thread's about tbh
  15. I'd like 'a basement' - where I can keep my collection of virtual severed heads.
  16. There you go, Gary. From glorious adverts - to hauntings - in less than a day. QED

  18. There's no call for such ungentlemanly behaviour, Louisa. ... yet
  19. Are there any glorious reviews in particular you'd like to mention, firstchoicegary?
  20. Come on, Jeremy.. why would anyone really want to leave this earthly paradise?
  21. Well yes, that's what I meant. Pushchair are frowned upon in nightclubs, so I'm told.
  22. Young children need conditioning. It's important to expose them to loud, pounding music into the early hours after they're put to bed - on a suitable number of occasions, so they get used to it.
  23. A few places are fair game. But most I think you should be out of by 7. The problem is there are a small number of people who reckon they should be able to take their kids anywhere - and an equal number of people who think kids should be kept at home in a box until they get to about 16. As ever, 'tis the unreasonable types who turn things into some sort of all-or-nothing thing where it could otherwise be so much less fanatical.
  24. Friends' teenage daughters are still your best bet. Even so budget for ?5-?6/hour.
  25. Everybody gets carried away occasionally. Who hasn't tried to carry the pushchair silently up the path to the front door at 2am - from time to time, hoping nobody sees?
