  1. Help yourself.. I'm a musician. Should be an easy enough target.
  2. Don't tell me.. ?50/hour, plus travelling costs and materials?

  4. I don't think anyone would disagree that aromatherapy can make (some) people feel good. Nor that feeling good and positive thinking can have a beneficial effect on one's health and wellbeing. However, this doesn't quite add-up to aromatherapy being a cure for cancer.
  5. If it works for you then that's great. Personally speaking I favour hard prescription medicine over crystal-dangling.. any day of the week.
  6. Bloody hell.. is there anyone here who's Mum isn't a Reiki practitioner?
  7. Had a wonderful leaflet through the door not so long back. I even kept it, so I can have a laugh when I'm feeling down. "THE ART OF SPACE CLEARING" "Cleansing, purifying and blessing your home or business. The Space Clearing ceremony is a beautiful creative rich experience. Multilcoloured flowers, gently glowing candles, sweet perfumes of essential oils, incense and smudging sticks and the rich tones of Balinese bells are just a few things used to remove stagnant energy" ?50/hour, plus travelling costs and materials.
  8. ... as 'featured' in Charlie Brooker's essential ramblings in 'The Guide' (weekend just gone) Long Live Charlie Brooker.
  9. Hee Hee.. this should be fun. General 'Foxton's are the very devil himself' banter aside, the only experience I've had of them (when looking for an agent to sell - and in viewing properties) has been annoying and piss-poor. I don't want 20 year old wearing a chunky thumb-ring and a pin-striped suit selling my house, when someone else who doesn't make me want to burst-out laughing every time I see them can sell it for exactly the same amount (which they did). And when it comes to viewings, I'd like the agent to not be seeing the house for the first time, like I was. Apart from that, they're just like the rest. They're irritating because they've cultivated this myth that they have exclusive rights on getting the most for your property. And it's balls, but people still fall for it.
  10. Alan, I'm intrigued as to your minor 'pop' at the use of the word 'bummer', but have managed not one but two spastic ('spazz', in your parlance) related 'gags' within but a few minutes..?

But I do know that only one of the two mentioned above has an active and ongoing television career.

  13. The only deliveries I get from SE5 are mainly for smoking.
  14. I disagree, Al. I think 'wally' also has endearing connotations. As in "ee's a bit of a wally, but ee's awright really" However, if I were to say, for example, "ALAN DALE IS A BIT OF A PLONKER", (not that I would, of course), I think that would be slightly more derogatory.

  16. Me? The Cloak? Alas no. I would have been electronically outed by now. You're right about the ass-kissing though. I do sometimes feel it my duty (along with a few Notable Others) to fly the flag of sarcasm, humbug and general misery amidst a sea of self-congratulatory backslapping. Regards, *Bob* (SE22)
  17. Look, don't shoot the messenger.
  18. I believe the implication is that SE5 is a bit of a dump compared to SE22.

  22. You know why, Alan..
  23. Is that bottle of rose open again already, Lou?
  24. Where 'on the scale' is 'numpty'? Where does it stand in relation to, say, 'plonker' or 'wally'?
  25. Wait.. I think I did hear something. Is that you? On the balcony, sixth floor, Dawson's Heights.. deck chair underneath the washing line? Give us a wave.
