  1. Vauxhall City Farm is for 4 years and up.
  2. Great list Charliecharlie!
  3. I really like the Clockhouse, and have had some great lunches there.
  4. Yikes! I didn't notice and live not far... are there any clues as to what will become of the site? the-e-dealer Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm in shock my trusty reliable garage - Nunhead > Test Centre has silently dissappeared.
  5. As your cards get replaced they will become contactless - I lost my wallet a couple of months ago and my 3 replacement cards are contactless

  7. Is there a list anywhere of "good" tax payers so that I know where who to spend my money with?
  8. By "adjust" do you mean "put up with"? I'm "adjusting" to Apple Maps but it's still rubbish.
  9. Wow. Spelling. You showed me. Glossing over the fact that you're making a comparison between somewhere that will have minimal trains per hour in off peak to somewhere that has 10 trains per hour in off peak gunning to Liverpool Street in 6 minutes. Well played.
  10. Thanks guys, I was meaning laksa lemak. At the moment I go to C&R Cafe in Chinatown for my fix but Chi Noodle looks great. Lots of options! Thanks again.
  11. YUM! Thank you! I will have to try both :)
  12. Heya, Does anyone know if I can get a good (or even average) Laksa without going into Chinatown or Bayswater? Thanks, Ant
  13. Hackney still has at least 10 trains per hour to Liverpool Street, does it not? Not really a fair comparison. Take away that link and see if they like their busses then.
  14. I am not "margnailly" worse off, I am significantly worse off. I know this is down to my perosnal circumstances, and as I have said before in this thread, I'm all about the greater good. I totally understand it's not just about me and I'm swimming against the tide. But please, do not say that the effect of halving my service and at least tripling my commute when things to wrong and at off peak times is "marginal".
  15. The point that I'm trying to make is that there are people that lose out of the post-December situation. That is all.
  16. Please stop this ridiculous argument that busses are an alternative for trains. I often get the 436 / 36 between Queens Road Peckham and Peckham Rye in off peak times, which continues to Victoria. On Sunday I had to let SIX go past as I had a buggy and there was no space for me. If you actually have to be somewhere at a certain time, busses are unsuable.
  17. Busses are not an alternative. I know the world doesn't revolve around me, but as an anecdote, on Tuesday this week, the 1704 from Victoria to Dartford was cancelled at the last second. Because it is pre-december, the Mrs could instead get the 1711 SLL to Peckham Rye and still pick up our little man before the nursery shut and the police were called. Come December, we have no fall back plan. Bus takes FOREVER at that time and our only alternative will be to maybe get the Herne Hill train and bus from there, or Train to clapham Junction and then ELL. Nightmare either way, probably not going to make it in time. We really don't know what is going to happen, and are not looking forward to it. But hey, on the positive side, it will be much easier for us to get to Surrey Quays on the ELL once every two weeks to get our Cafe East fix. Anyway I'm not dissing the ELL, I think it's a great addition. But I don't see why it has to be instead of the SLL, and in fact I think the timing smells fishy, encouraging us to see them as a trade off when in fact, they should be complimentary. Even as a trade, personally, I think it's a bad one. We've swapped two slots at Heathrow for a slot at Stansted. The home counties must be cackling! I'm pragmatic and utilitarian enough to realise that some people will win out of this, but it's certainly not me.
  18. Small shops can be tax dodgers too, while some big companies do pay correct and ethical amounts of tax on the money they make in this country. What we need is an easy way of being able to tell who is naughty and who is nice.
  19. Okay, I change it to "makes no sense for anyone with a travel card". Really, Morden? I just want to get to Victoria.
  20. Everyone seems to be focusing on the Jubilee line. As a Northern Line user, I reckon everyone from DH will change at Queens Road Peckham and continue to London Bridge on the ohter trains. Stuff changing for Clapham North, makes no sense. Losing the South London Line is a disaster for me personally, as wifie works in Victoria (yes, victoria proper, as do thousands of others) and kiddo is at Nursery in Peckham. We lose half our trains to pick him up. If a train is cancelled, we'll miss closing time. We're totally dreading Dec to be honest.
  21. 30 mins to go 5 miles?! Yikes.
  22. G'day. We went to Snappy Snaps Camberwell to get miniAnt's Aus and UK pics done. They'd seen it all before - We're pretty common.
  23. I find it frustratingly slow and irregular and prefer to go to London Bridge and get the Northen Line.
  24. I usually just winzip the folder it and then put a password on the zipped file.
  25. Scutari Rd? Surely they could dump in the overgrown path which runs between the pumping station and the football club? Must be too close to home.
