  1. Just looked at that site- hilarious. but it says that Lindi 'went to Solihull College and completed a National Diploma in Proofing arts with the highest possible grade (a distinction). ' is that when you learn to be a proofreader?
  2. Alex and Jenny really turned on her didnt they, what a bunch of back stabbers they all are! If Simon had played a bit dirtier in the board room she would have gone but he was too honourable in there i think. still he came out looking like a decentish human being which is quite a feat for that show.
  3. I thought that Clinton used to be governor of Arkansaw until I realised that's how you say Arkansas
  4. Well done Lizzygotdizzy. That is a serious achievement. I have run a couple of half marathons and they were tough enough for me. I just dont think I could run the whole lot. Did you hit the 'wall' that everyone always talks about?

    Great Gigs

I saw Elbow last night at Brixton............anyone else? I know you hate Brixton giggirl but I think it's a great venue.especially when the drive home takes 10 mins! I agree that the bar is rubbish but I was off the sauce last night. Downstairs standing is a great view because of the sloping floor. Elbow sounded fab, played a chunk of the new album, some classics and some oldies that I'd never heard before. Richard Hawley came on to duet with them on The Fix (from the new album) Guy was doing alll his audience chit chat which went down well. The ended with Grace under pressure which is always a treat. but still- their material is all such a similiar tempo it's hard for them to really get going. I would go and see them again, they make a great noise...but somehow it wasnt a great show. good but not great. Maybe it's cos I wasnt drinking!
  6. by the way, I think its noo ga 2 that perplex me are garage gaa-ridge or gah raj ? and Canal. I like to pronounce it so it rhymes with anal.
  7. could you wait one week til the hols are over? everything is twice the price! i say this wishing we didnt have to obey the laws of school holidays ourselves. but if you do stay in the UK, national trust holiday cottages has a special offer section with 20% off for late bookings. so does landmark trust. you could stay in a house shaped like a pineapple in scotland.
  8. lucinda is a serious passive agressive
  9. loving the way the pendulum has been swinging from boy to girl on the pass/fail thing. a good decision tonight. that boy was a fool!
  10. too many broken hearts- Jason Donner-van
  11. Gordon is a Moron- Jilted John
  12. the beer got too warm and too fizzy
  13. There once was a sweet-cakes called bagpuss And she needed a disco nap 'cos She was partial to beer (sorry SteveT) & some late night cheer
  14. Fire on Babylon- Sinead O'Connor
  15. ginger Jenny definitely should have gone, or at least weepy old lucinda and her attitude problem. you know I'd love to see them have to do something like run a classroom, or an old people's home, or an ER on a saturday night. or better still, the toilet cleaning operation at a festival. IE something of real value rather than just show how good they are at selling each other down the river and talking motivational bollokcs
  16. I am new to city cycling. I love my new lights, but why would I set them on flashing instead of just steady beam? Opinions anyone? drivers or cyclists? isnt that flashing setting a bit distracting for drivers?
  17. I'm still standing- Elton John
  18. What no cowboys? Clint Eastwood in any Sergio Leone western should be up there- The hat, the poncho, the cheroot... but failing that Daniel Craig as James Bond. Or maybe Sean Connery.

I cant believe this comes from you too Kel, leave the older ladies alone you'll be one soon enough! Luvpeckham wrote: 'but Daphne... no way as she was always hanging around with that MC Fred (who had both her and Velma barking up his trouser legs but seemed to play them both off against each other... what a nasty piece he was...' you've got it all wrong. Fred is just your classic dumb blonde surfer dude. Daphne slightly more intelligent and definitely the sexiest of the gang. Velma was on the other bus I think you'll find.
  20. word up - Cameo (great cover by Willis)
  21. if it's nice go to either peckham rye, dulwich park or crystal palace park for the fab dinosaurs. kids that age will love them. Or get the train to london bridge- a treat in itself for that age group and just walk either way along the south bank for a bit. then the parents can go to the tate or the design museum. London aquarium is also great. Or.. the science museum basement 'hands on' space is great, aimed at exactly this age group with a great water play thing, blocks to build and knock down, dressing up.............and more and then you can check out the rest of the science museum too. also great cos you can take your own sarnies and eat them in indoor picnic area if needs be. or if you are feeling flash and the kids have been entertained then have lunch at the V&A cafe which is by far the best place to eat out of those 3 musuems. buy a sticker book from the science museum to keep the kids quiet while you eat lunch. Or the horniman is great if its raining and you dont want to go too far. if you are venturing into london proper take snacks- take extra clothes, take some colouring or a little book or something and take a buggy for the small one and double your normal journey time when calculating how long stuff takes.
  22. I'd have a go too.
  23. red dress - Sugababes
  24. sorry Honaloochie but I was referring to your response. there's nothing unlikely about Lizzy's tale
