  1. I suspect lots do this - but at least it doesn't make you persona non grata at the apple shop any more. https://www.macrumors.com/2019/03/05/iphones-third-party-batteries-now-repair-eligible/
  2. "Insurgent candidate Rory Stewart kept the nation guessing about whether or not he was a real-life James Bond, saying he was not but adding it would be against the Official Secrets Act for a spy to admit his profession." Evening Standard
  3. We all say you have to be prepared for anybody in your company to be run over by a No 11 bus but if it's just a small company there's not much you can do to be honest.
  4. My "signed for" letter fitted through the letterbox and I wasn't in so they just pushed it through. Small thing I know but the sender probably gets a fake signature (or none at all ?)

  6. SO many locations in this twitter account it would almost be surprising if they didn't do Rye Lane :)
  7. BBC balanced. Calls for it to be shut down come from all sides regularly :)
  8. When I worked for the NHS years ago they had Pay Grades (I was A&C Grade 4) and guaranteed increments every year until you got to the top of the grade. So if you know the grade you can look up the range. Maybe ask what a current member of the team would say is good (or bad) about the job. What about the NHS structure - I remember separation of purchaser and provider and formation of trusts but that was so long ago, but the trust must provide services to somebody maybe more than one.

A team for what? His cabinet and any other advisers :) He claims that other than Brexit he's a one Nation Tory. No Nick and Fiona either please.
  10. Anyway it's Boris and I'm reconciled with it. Please can he pick a good team around him.

  12. http://thepalmerston.co.uk/ just says "Welcome to Queo"

They should monitor it a bit like a data/phone network - I notice Thameslink like the word core these days. But if there's an external (political) mission that might make things different.
  14. I've heard the lamppost thing and it might be true but I'm not that worried about health issues personally. "Delivering the promised performance improvements of 5G through high-band spectrum, on the other hand, would require a fundamentally different architecture with much denser networks?something like 15 to 20 sites per square kilometer in highly populated urban environments, as opposed to two to five sites today." https://www.mckinsey.com/industries/telecommunications/our-insights/are-you-ready-for-5g Will we be able to trace phones to a greater accuracy ?
  15. If I see racist, sexist or homophobic posts I'll challenge wherever I see it. Doubt this was obviously any of those tbh though. Some comments will kick it off though - just try calling a Liverpool accent whiny on a Liverpool forum, or a Valleys accent whiny on the now defunct Gwlad.com (which had a well used sin bin section) :)
  16. Seagulls do that but not heard of Rooks doing it - until now.

The old Kings on the Rye. Edit: Unless something temporary was up due to the Rye Lane road works ?
  19. Or is the arrow being referred to the sign at the top of Peckham Rye saying left for East Dulwich/Nunhead and right for Forest Hill/Dulwich and the OP went left for Forest Hill. Surely not - that would mean being fined for a Layer 3 routing issue as network guys would say.
  20. Wasn't the bus lane was it ?

This article implies Inner London is losing services to pay for improved services in Outer London and that's what the consultation requested. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-47909620

Nah - It's me - I thought I had acting confident and deterring them down to a tee even when alone and after a pint or two. I was wrong.

    Olive oil

Always Extra Virgin Olive Oil rather than just olive oil for salads and sprinkling on things and lower heat cooking.

I thought that - but they seem to operate on shove you maybe shout abuse and then snatch and then they're gone (they watch you first too) I was so upset when it happened to me the police stayed with me for a while - maybe because it shouldn't happen to me.
