Be careful! Phone snatching attempt - East Dulwich Road
JohnL replied to sarah g's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Some boys watching me walking down the road last night (Peckham Road/Bellenden - where it's quiet). Hands outstretched (like I own this place) - even did a spin - they probably just thought I was mad. Gait watching :. https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=n0JpAgAAQBAJ&pg=PA227&lpg=PA227&dq=gait+watching&source=bl&ots=4IEPNHlwDt&sig=2GPlaiitR-h6xaIMONf-T-KlZxM&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjCz97yg_LVAhXFA8AKHaqaDukQ6AEIZjAO#v=onepage&q=gait%20watching&f=false -

In all seriousness - I've never been bothered by these guys (touch wood) - wondering why (or is it just probability and my encounter will happen) as I have my phone out and wander around a lot I've read looking at gait, body language etc. may have some effect. -

Samsung are working on a kill switch - but dang it hit the TVs instead. Back to making the phone explode then. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/aug/24/samsung-tv-buyers-furious-after-software-update-leaves-sets-unusable -

(it did return under a new name) Anyway if you go write a nice goodby letter - like this one to Trump - note the first letter in each paragraph https://twitter.com/dan_kammen/status/900360794231013376/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnn.com%2F2017%2F08%2F23%2Fpolitics%2Fscience-envoy-impeach-resignation-letter%2Findex.html

The only time I felt annoyed about a 'work from coffee shop' guy was when he seemed to be giving someone else a humongous rollocking over the phone for his standard of work. But coffee shops like the one below have meeting rooms you can reserve for doing the failing staff members personal development plan (or other meetings) :) https://departmentofcoffee.com/

The Barcelona to Madrid train is the only one I've taken - more expensive - but so fast :)

Maybe as part of Notting Hill Carnival budget the Police can arrest some of these guys. More of a danger than drug busts in Catford IMHO and far more likely to cause trouble in Notting Hill on the day. -

I was in the Costa in central Peckham a few weeks ago. Couldn't help noticing the crowd there was actually waiting for the 'Drovers' to open :) My favourite though is in Hatton Gardens - all kinds of dodgy dealing going on if you look around.

Call me barbaric, but taste matters to me - and again and again I hear Halal is not as good to taste as non halal - even from Muslims (how would they even know). Maybe it's because blood is drained or is Halal free range/organic or mainly mass produced. Ahh- you do get halal organic etc. ( https://organic-halal-meat.com ) - obvious really.
