David Davis's top civil servant has left him to work with Theresa May now. Is she going to personally take over.

And we did take it as a joke back in time - the local flasher was a running joke amongst the schoolgirls at my school - but seen as progressive behaviour towards worse these days.
  5. Found this report from August https://www.southwarknews.co.uk/news/parents-warn-men-hiding-bushes-southwark-park/ So was that rumour a hoax ?

Hetan Shah, the executive director of the Royal Statistical Society, said: ?It is extremely concerning to see a minister seeking to undermine our independent statistical regulator. The UK is envied around the world for the independence of our statistical system and it is important that politicians are not seen to be compromising it.? Boris won't back down though. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/sep/17/boris-johnson-slapped-down-statistics-chief-fresh-350m-brexit-claim

I can't believe Boris questioned the patriotism of young people on anti brexit marches. You can be European and British and other too.

Following on from George Osborne's reported comment (bags in his freezer) Vince Cable has said Theresa May is like someone handcuffed to a radiator in Beirut. whats going on https://www.politicshome.com/news/uk/political-parties/liberal-democrats/news/88994/vince-cable-theresa-may-%E2%80%98hostage-handcuffed
  13. That's the starting edge of Puritanism and I know where it'll lead sorry. all the below can be argued. 'Seeing people in pubs and smoking in the street might encourage youngsters to do so' 'horror movies maybe seen by children (some are PG anyway - and quite gory' 'Video games show horrendous violence' 'allowing children to see alcohol around the house normalizes drinking' loads more but a society that banned this would be totalitarian

  22. They're on the gangs list of 'vulnerable people' I'd say a statement is needed - but I don't know what. I'd probably have a 'word' at the next one - but easy to say when you're not alone/vulnerable.

Not sure it works like Prets free coffees though - you just wonder what their angle is :) My best tipping was in Egypt - I tipped all the boys behind the bar (I never saw a girl working) every day and they always served me first and made little remarks about what other holidaymakers were mean. (they really really tried hard though)

Some peoples beliefs do evolve though - as they gain life experience and hear other viewpoints.

I rarely tip in the UK unless I'm really impressed. Recently I've noticed I'm getting more freebies - even in the pub (the drinks on us once or twice)- it's a customers market.
