I do like crisps as a treat :) Some things on the BBC are pretty good for the regions even outside news (Dr Who and BBC Wales)

The delivery riders and other moped users had a protest yesterday. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/moped-riders-blockade-parliament-square-to-protest-against-acid-attacks-a3590651.html

What did you think it was? Younger people than myself - mostly teenagers (i.e. much younger than 40 somethings). But just see more and more people like me in the paper (40s & 50s). I always thought they assumed "older" people would take it to the full extent of the law so went after easier targets or rival gangs. I'm out all the time and still haven't been mugged properly (as I put earlier some boys tried to bully me to see my reaction last week - first time that has happened in 10 years). I still think these scooter muggers are different from the gangs of the past (black, blue, red, whatever) - but I've been shot down on that one before - most people believe they are the same people.

The demographic being attacked is changing IMHO. I considered myself outside the victim range for years but am now wondering. This woman of 41 was rescued when a car mounted the pavement to attack the mopeds - but thats probably illegal in itself. http://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/businesswoman-breaks-ankle-after-fighting-off-gang-of-eight-moped-robbers-in-london-a3589056.html

I'm seen as liberal BUT You have to make it so robbing people like this is more risky than lucrative and the other robbers have to see that.

Sorry this makes me so angry http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/pictured-man-fatally-stabbed-in-the-neck-by-moped-muggers-a3589446.html I used to feel like I was out of the target demograph - unsure now.

Easy enough to say but when they are circling around you like vultures my Celtic temper comes up (even though I try so hard to be demure and charming usually). (it happened last week) I hate bullying of any sort so much I can't contain it. luckily the change in attitude so shocked them I made my get away (with a few FUs from a safe distance).

I've not read it but I've heard about the Henry VIII clauses and not impressed with that. The Government could modify things the day after the act is passed without parliament it seems.
  14. and as this has been said by the cabinet member for regeneration and new homes 'the authority ?supports? the Coal Line, and also called on Bluecroft to ?work with us and the Coal Line? to deliver the project.' It's worked - they now are included in the conversation.

I think they were provoking a response - look for the post from them further down. Technically if you are not consulted by someone then in the SWOT analysis it has to go in Threat :) Quote from post earlier in the thread. "We are absolutely not against housing on this site ? in fact there is the opportunity to create something denser and much more affordable. The current scheme sits at 9 houses just below the threshold of 10 where they are obliged to provide affordable housing and they have to contribute less CIL. We simply want the developers to acknowledge that they have a duty to engage the neighbours. After all it is the neighbours that have made the neighbourhood they are profiting from."

We all guess Corbyn couldn't do much better in relation to Brexit - and a lot of people now seem to want to remain, but at least he's not saying too much about it, just letting May deal with it as the economy gets worse. I suspect Corbyn supports Brexit in order to set up his ideals without outside interference, it seems however that Socialism to some extent is making a come back.

Corbyn: ?pay what we are legally required to pay, but nothing beyond that".
