  1. Twitter is the social media tool for people who like to talk but don't listen. So can be rather funny - as it's difficult to get into an argument when everybody is just shouting out. Hey, rather like that leaders TV debate :) Edit: I use it mostly for football and rugby gossip.

QE doesn't have to be done the way it's done though (which I don't think is the right way personally). The bank could just dump money into the economy - of course that risks inflation.
  4. The Large corrupt businesses prop up the Conservative Party. It is in the interests of the Conservative Party to cause as much misery on the front line i.e. to the general public when they are in Government. Therefore the NHS are used as a political football when Conservatives are in Government. The NHS is public owned but the Conservative Party want it to into private ownership so again it is in the interests of the Conservative Party to get its minister of health (Jeremy C**t) to cause more and more misery for the patients. etc. etc.
  5. It's because of this priority given to outside of London that we all wanted London services run by TFL. But a certain minister stopped that - maybe now the government is weaker we can push again.
  6. U Turn incoming - Free Abortions for NI Women in UK amendment seems to be in Queens speech now - Government looked like it was going to lose that amendment.

    It's back.

Ex Security Guy from MI? and Cameron's old Chief of Staff having a discussion on Sky News A strange look from the security guy when Cameron's mate mentioned some might see attacks on parliament websites as reprisals for years of being snooped on by government. But they did both agree internet companies need to be mature about encryption (whatever that may mean).
  9. Sorry but when the Tory MP's were laughing and cheering yesterday because the public sector pay rise cap was kept at 1%, it did come across as offensive.
  10. Most pubs do remind patrons to be quiet outside after 10:00 PM or so. And some patrons forget.
  11. Don't worry in 2030 we can all walk to OKR and catch the Bakerloo line. I see a transport crisis looming in SE London.

I notice later in the same article "England head coach Eddie Jones is in town to see how the men in red get on against the All Blacks" Well

Pinning some hopes on the ref having an NH interpretation (if you believe in that). But to win that sort of match the forwards need to have the game of their lives :)

I like live music though and not so much of that now. Sometimes I'm in the mood for The Peckham Pelican, other times EDT or GE or the Commercial/Half Moon or the Montpelier. Sometimes Wetherspoons :) We do actually have a good choice.

It's the All Blacks in New Zealand - the chances of winning were never high. Gatland will take the main part of any blame I think (hope it doesn't wreck him)

Apparently he took a knock just before that (and had on a huge bandage around his head (from a separate incident) - not best for seeing the ball). Our style of play seems abrasive - so against the All Blacks (who are tough) we pick up injuries (Gatland likes this style)

French Ref(s) next - so my (still held) belief about interpretations of laws at the breakdown can be tested.

The 4 Welsh guys have not played and have no Lions number I think both Scottish guys have a number as they did a few minutes. Edit: I think however the Welsh 4 knew what was what.
  21. It was in his manifesto.
  22. David Lammy now being accused of being "thick" on twitter. He's got a first class degree and went to Harvard.
  23. I just pop in different pub at various times for a change of scenery - I'm not a one pub man - more a pub crawl. Think it was the Bishop afterwards (as it's open to 2:00 Saturday). I'm quiet going home though (usually) - I know for a fact some people sing.
  24. It's something in the clear way she speaks.

I remember getting almost run over a few times when I was new to London and I treated the roads like I'd treat a Swansea road (running into the side of busses and the like trying to catch them - but after a few months got used to the capital) Don't forget our politicians want to discourage cars (they are talking about pay per mile in London) - so they are more likely to promote pedestrians I guess.
