  1. Theresa May has said she is going to rip up the human rights laws. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/theresa-may-terrorism-human-rights_uk_5936ec0be4b0099e7fafd14d?utm_hp_ref=uk She's also put security back on the table in the Brexit negotiations. http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/eu-security-brexit-article-50_uk_5936b9cce4b0cfcda917af2c?utm_hp_ref=uk
  2. Reports of an explosion at Notre Dame edit: or maybe an attack of some sort ? Thankfully not as first flashed on my phone http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/paris-incident-shooting-notre-dame-cathedral-police-attack-gunshots-france-ile-de-la-cite-a7775741.html

The investigation into the funding of Jihadi's may never be published (too sensitive) https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/may/31/sensitive-uk-terror-funding-inquiry-findings-may-never-be-published-saudi-arabia Meanwhile to the right Paul Nuttall wants to ban Saudi funding of UK Mosques.

  8. The most anti Corbyn follower I have on Twitter is Labour (Blairite faction). He told me he wanted Corbyn destroyed (I had to say Theresa May isn't helping you is she) But surely people must give Corbyn some respect for tenacity at least - he just won't let go, ever. He's 68 too and seems to have energy levels of a twenty something.
  9. Theresa May on Liar Liar "Well, I?ve heard bits of it and to be perfectly honest I?m not very happy about it. I don?t much like it, I don?t think anybody would when they heard a song about themselves like that." Assuming she always lies this must logically mean she liked it.
  10. I'm Camberwell and Peckham ward - so will avoid the temptation.

Of course they do - I had a nice Phil Oakey at that time - and I loved it.

Her haircut is quite ... radical, but then it was the 80s, step to the left :)
  13. Borky Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > is a stasi like structure really the way forward ? No - but I'm playing Devils Advocate a bit because there will be calls for that sort of thing (and internment). We seem to have got it more or less right on terrorism to be honest - but I do think other crime needs more bodies. (it seems to be forgotten we had another fatal stabbing in Peckham the other day)
  14. I meant Regan and Carter (they used to have loads of 'contacts' in the underworld). More seriously - there seems no point in keeping someone on a "watch" list if they aren't having some tabs kept on them. You can see why Farage and Hopkins call for internment (and even Fox News disowned that idea)
  15. Can't "secret policemen" set up there own networks of "snitches" or am I being a bit Sweeney Todd

Why on earth do they let her on TV? It's rather sad but I think Corbyn's close to letting her go (to a more junior role). Apparently she "doesn't go through the leaders office when booking TV appearances"
  17. Sadiq Khan has commented on Police Numbers now. I see a U turn coming. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/sadiq-khan-breaks-cover-after-10568339

  20. On Saturday we were being told not to retweet the image - but in the main stream media now. SAS helicoptor coming in low over London Bridge. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/what-blue-thunder-sas-crack-10561106
  21. Of course even when talking about terrorism - this guy was known Why wasn't he watched - resources of course. Katie calling for internment of the entire watchlist - but that would mean prison camps being created etc.

Of course they did - 8 minutes - but at the expense of lower level crimes perhaps ?. and it's stopping the lower level crimes which stop the higher level crimes. I did note the fact that "everyone" in the borough carries knives was shown to be wrong - we are all basically defenseless other than broken bottles etc.
  23. I'll be watching to see if any of the above moan about robberies anytime soon I can look after myself - but a few people on this forum have been attacked.
  24. I would think the moped robberies might be why we need more Police Officers Not terrorism - although terrorism might allow the robbers more space to operate.
  25. Trump believes that originally Sadiq Khan said that we should "not be alarmed by terrorists" then retroactively changed it to "we should not be alarmed by more police on our streets" and every single mainstream media in the world also changed the quote to cover up for him. rather than he (trump) misquoted. (whistles and walks away quietly)
