Say it ain't so, Greg? The "Apple" of pub companies :)
  2. Anyway worth noting "TheCoalLine"s reply above. They don't have an issue with building (they'd be happy with a denser development with social housing included by the sound of it) - I think they mainly wanted to be consulted so they knew how to proceed with their project. Someone who isn't talking to you in this case has to be seen as a threat by them I'd think. Edit:I went through a few of the documents associated with planning - and found no reference to the "Coal Line"

'Have one yourself' isn't a tip, it's a chat up line :)

Johnson isn't keeping quiet. He's told the EU they can "Go Whistle" for their divorce settlement https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/07/boris-johnson-tells-the-eu-to-go-whistle-on-brexit-divorce-bill/#
  5. Anyway on thread :) All I'm looking for is the opportunity for the coal line project to be protected. I's also like the Peckham Lido plan to actually happen too.

Loads of supply at Elephant Park then (edit: and looking at the Evening Standard property section there are loads of new homes entering the market). http://www.homesandproperty.co.uk/property-news/buying/first-time-buyers. Not sure who is providing the demand.

If the council investigate and agree with you, fair enough. I want to make sure they check.

  9. This policeman got fed up with a young thief on a boris bike with no helmet (nudged him over with the police van door). http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/police-defend-tactic-of-nudging-thief-off-bike-after-he-was-caught-redhanded-on-cctv-a3584596.html

The link at the top includes "catastrophic effect" "blocks off a vital part of the Peckham Coal Line route making it near impossible for the two sides to join up" "shallow exercise in increasing the value of the land to put it out of the reach of all of us." I haven't double checked any of whats in this link - but if it's wrong my objection will be ignored anyway :).
  11. I thought the general consensus was that the Coal Line was a desirable project. Living in Rye Lane I think it would definitely enhance the area. I objected anyway - just on the basis it's an attempt to sabotage the project.

4th Viscount St Davids no longer if he's not careful and that's a hereditary peerage he's playing fast and loose with (assuming the Queen can remove it ) She wore an EU hat remember - Viscount St Davids could end up in the Tower :) http://www.independent.co.uk/News/uk/crime/gina-miller-viscount-rhodri-colwyn-philipps-st-davids-westminster-magistrates-court-brexit-a7834636.html

Anyway this morning May invited Corbyn et al to give there contributions to Brexit (OK almost certainly a trap). Now she's being attacked by her own side for doing so. and what on earth is this one up to (if she loses the whip they're down another seat) ... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/07/10/tory-mp-describes-leaving-eu-without-deal-real-nr-woodpile/
  15. Hmmm I'm not sure I can blame the OP for naming and shaming - If someone mugged me or someone close they'll get everything I can throw at them dirty or clean in response. edit: and I know it can prejustice a trial - but I'd be furious for days.
  16. Sorry, that's real bad I remember telling the police the name of someone who mugged me back in the 80s. They by all accounts mugged him back rather than arresting him - and gave me my property back. But this boy will be in custody by now surely.

Gatland vindicated again. He seems to make a habit of it. Not sure about wearing the clown nose to the press conference :)
  18. EDT stays open to 12:00 AM .... doesn't it ... or do I just think it does :)

In my time Lager and Lime was any lager with a lime cordial added as opposed to lager top - which has lemonade added to it.
  22. Some of the extreme brexiteers recently seem to have realised that an EU exit and a Corbyn victory at the next election could mean a more socialist government than if we remained in the EU. In fact this may be what Corbyn hopes for 2 years or so down the line.

Gatters was a hooker after all :) Given how much you have talked about discipline this week, did Mako Vunipola?s four penalties and yellow card make you think about a change in that position? A: No. I didn?t think there was anything wrong with the first one where he has gone to charge down a kick and he has followed through. Codie Taylor does exactly the same thing in exactly the same time frame and it?s not a penalty. If you put the two of them side by side, they are exactly the same, so Mako was a bit unlucky. The one where the referee has penalised him for going on his knee is absolutely marginal where he is competed on the ball. He hasn?t collected Barrett?s head (with the clear out yellow card) and then there?s a scrum penalty. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/warren-gatland-lions-qa-game-13289208
  24. All on the train today at Denmark Hill - seemed well behaved :)

Police just weren't around then - and looked like they were with helmets. Reports of other issues around ED/Peckham (my block).
