  1. Trumps had a conversion on the road to Damascus Bannons gone, Trump says what happened in Syria was an affront to humanity and insinuates he blames Russia. Alt Rights on twitter saying he's gone NeoCon
  2. The problem for the UK government is that it's beginning to look like our lack of expertise in negotiations means we will be rolled over by the EU negotiators whatever the rights or wrongs of it. They've swatted away everything so far. Edit: And whilst David Davis (for instance) refuses to name the 58 sectors of the economy he claims to be using in the negotiation plan - the EU negotiators have published their plan straight up. I hope we do have a workable plan and not a load of nationalist rubbish.
  3. "There will be, one day or another, a young man or woman who will try again, who will lead Britain again into the European family once again, and a young generation that will see Brexit for what it really is - a cat-fight in the Conservative Party that got out of hand, a loss of time, a waste of energy and a stupidity," Guy Verhofstadt Corbyn ruled out then.

  7. Farage was back in the European Parliament this morning - I caught it on Sky News Farage: You're all a Mafia Speaker: Please refrain from calling the members of this parliament a Mafia as there is an historical issue with this (in Italy I suppose) Farage: You're all gangsters (Ok I paraphrased a little) http://www.cityam.com/262385/nigel-farage-just-booed-fellow-meps-after-accusing-them

  9. If it's reported that's a suspension or exclusion I'd think. The school need to get the offender to understand bullying and threatening is wrong rather than just suspend and allow back.
  10. or beeping because the traffic lights are broken. and the solution might be mend the lights :)

And that trio are often referred to as the Troika IIRC - but even Yanis Varoufakis says reform not exit (ok it sounds very socialist) https://www.yanisvaroufakis.eu/2017/02/14/a-new-deal-to-save-europe/

  14. Actually I'd put the score at EU-27 2 UK 0 at the moment Goal 1: The attempt by TM to link security to trade as an own goal Goal 2: The obvious dummy over Gibraltar which has now been brought and no doubt counts as a concession
  15. Now if it wasn't the parody account :)

Maybe good news is free :)

  18. "Esteban Gonz?lez Pons, the vice-president of the European People?s party, told El Pa?s that May?s failure to mention Gibraltar in the letter was ?very relevant?, adding that the omission was ?because Gibraltar isn?t part of the United Kingdom; it?s a colony like the island of St Helena?." Another big mistake by May - It's certainly Round 1 to EU-27

Vortigern invited the Saxons to Briton to fight the Irish and Scots and you can't blame them for thinking **** this lets start fighting for ourselves. 1500 years and not much changes :)
  20. Someone reads through the whole EU document ?After the United Kingdom leaves the Union, no agreement between the EU and the UK may apply to the territory of Gibraltar without the agreement between the kingdom of Spain and the UK.? And the papers scream !!!

And when they said all EU laws would be translated to UK law then parliament would debate any changes OK the Charter of Fundamental rights maybe a load of BS - but we agreed on how this was to be done and now the precedent has been set. "While the Bill will provide for around 19,000 pieces of EU legislation to be brought onto Britain?s statute books, the Charter of Fundamental Rights will not be one of them." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/30/uk-takes-back-right-deport-britain-repeals-powers-eu/

I voted remain and am a child of the 60s. What I discovered though (due to this) - The baby boomer generation is considered to have ended in 1964 which means I'm Generation X (just) :)

I didn't know there was a native & invasive species. but Huffington Post explains http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/fi-bird/wild-garlic-in-the-kitchen_b_9636252.html three cornered leek (non native) ramsons (native) I can't tell the difference personally - but it's sad that 'foraging' actually has an effect (are they professional) as people grabbing a leaf or two should not and never used to have that effect on the huge populations we used to have. I wonder what the woods of my childhood now look like :(
  24. Ha This is what is said about wild garlic (a plant I love) - It's apparently a weed - feel free :) http://www.independent.ie/regionals/droghedaindependent/lifestyle/invasive-alien-wild-garlic-can-grow-rapidly-27163623.html "Eating the invasive alien is one environmentally friendly way of helping to control its spread."

I'd be sad if that picture had gone now.
