May needs to get 75% (Edit: It's 66.66% - just testing of course :) ) of MPs to vote for an election first (suppose it's a done deal) Labour won't do anything, so I hope the Lib Dems appeal to the Remain vote (make it a one issue election)

The prevailing wind seems to be London Living wage in the whole of London. I may be wrong but I think that's where we're headed and it's a good thing.

It'll be OKR next.

The Cup Winners Cup was the first thing that seemed to trigger the rest IIRC. Just googled and it was 1991

Once this huge hornet came in. I didn't beat about the bush and just attacked it with everything I had.

Possibly dangerous flytip - what to be done?
JohnL replied to dino99's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I suppose Asbestos isn't dangerous unless it's broken up etc. Probably a specialist team required to remove though (maybe they use the city of london hazardous waste removal) http://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/general-household-waste/hazardous-waste -

Of course you're supposed to locate the metal (in my case) cage supporting the plasterboard and attach to that (but I didn't) and got away with it (no TV falling down tin the middle of the night)

Googling on "hanging on plasterboard" > provides loads of advice pages. > https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2008/mar/ > 01/diy.homes7 offers a general summary. Is it single or double plasterboard. I've had a TV hung on double plasterboard for 5 years using those heavy duty plasterboard plugs (the metal type) - a coat hanger is lightweight. I'd say check what type of plug you're using (go for the ones that expand behind the plasterboard).

I wonder how many people don't report cash (especially a smaller amount) - maybe that's why they do that.

This is based on what 'ordinary decent-minded people' would think. it seems, so what happens if public opinion becomes radicalised (by posters on the side of buses for instance).

He's wrong anyway IMHO Hitler wouldn't have said 'deport them because I support the creation of a jewish state' he'd have said 'deport them because they aren't our people and i want rid of them' and he didn't then proceed from sane to mad - he continued on the path he was already on and had written about. from http://ww2history.com/key_moments/Holocaust/Hitler_talks_of_Jewish_annihilation "Indeed, in Mein Kampf, written in the early 1920s, Hitler explicitly linked the imagined deceit of the Jews in the First World War with the need for their destruction, saying that the ?sacrifice of millions at the front? would have been prevented if ?twelve or fifteen thousand of these Hebrew corrupters of the people had been held under poison gas."
