Saul Goodman's brother you see - when someone I worked with said they had the same I was speechless - Do you treat it as real or imagined (I treated it as real as no harm to do so and I can't feel what others feel if I can't relate at all)

Edit: Mind I haven't heard about "the clique" in a while.

Piers seems to be after his old mates - but both of them need a walk in the park :) THis jinterview seems to be in the process of being removed from a lot of sites.

But if I attend a Sales and Marketing meeting they use Sales and Marketing terms. Every area has it's own terms and really it shouldn't take anyone long to acquaint themselves with the basic terms and what they mean (and I mean just google them). For instance as employees being asked to read up on conscious inclusion and understand what it means is not unreasonable in the same way when you attend a briefing on how the company you work for is doing you are expected to google what EBITA is.

Wait a moment - whats going on with news these days 100 billion 6G stations globally That's more than 10x more 6G base stations than the worlds population. I'm retiring to bed and Tetsuya Kawanishi can't count.
-
6G is on it's way from China https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Technology/Race-for-6G-South-Korea-and-China-off-to-early-leads The density of masts required does seem to increase with every generation (although I've seen it all before so no worries) "But in terms of range, the transmission distance of 6G base stations will be only 200 meters or less. This means "we'll need base stations 10 times a population," said Tetsuya Kawanishi, professor at Waseda University in Tokyo." Japan has about 600,000 base stations, he said, projecting that 6G will require 1 billion nationwide and up to 100 billion globally.

Boris and SKS had one earlier - maybe it's the weather. At least no-one got taken in by fake news about Laura K on this one.

This one has no date just an old photo and a much smaller twitter following https://www.radiotimes.com/news/2011-06-22/laura-kuenssberg-quits-bbc-to-join-itv-news/ But I think the retweets are caused by the below (she seems to have taken a break) - a lot of the comments aren't that nice. I actually fell for it first time around so the jokes on me :)
-
She's only taking a break but a few people having a laugh and I fell for it :) Off to ITV in September - must be seen as a promotion but is it as high profile. I was never sure why Faisal Islam left Sky for a much less high profile role with BBC - Maybe he'll move into Laura K's role ? https://www.itn.co.uk/press-releases/itv-announces-laura-kuenssberg-as-business-editor/

Yes - a moral discussion is probably more difficult :).

But all academic subjects are a bit like that - I can't argue Einsteins General Theory of Relativity is wrong to scientists even though I know it is because all science is wrong (it'll be improved on eventually) without learning the jargon and received wisdom first. I could learn Trumps jargon - It's just I feel Trumps s** isn't worth my time to learn - but we probably should and some people no doubt have just to take it down.

I switched my banks and credit card statements to online so all I get is the transfer offers through the post - but there's less of them now. No letters this week and I used to get loads (mostly junk mail).

I don't hear 'listen only to the victims' - I hear research and read and obtain knowledge (and that includes what victims have written as we aren't a folk tale society, we have books and the internet) - you can't experience first hand but you can extrapolate and emphasise (well most can - some apparently can't). You can go through websites like the below - which is a teaching resource. https://www.tolerance.org/

I saw Italians were claiming COVID-19 had decreased in virility and mortality in Italy - can't find link maybe they removed it. Anyone see the same ?

Callie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How can someone arrested for attempted murder and > the other for gbh be released on bail? Surely not? Aren't the rules for bail completely separate to the crime committed - I forget. About likelihood to abscond or commit another offence etc.

HELP PLEASE - Door stuck on washing machine full of washing
JohnL replied to SilverSurfer65's topic in The Lounge
I've had a Hotpoint for 10 years and it still more or less works (drying packed up last year). Hotpoint's take a lot of flack but can't complain with 10 years and no Calgon either. I'd probably kick it if the door didn't open then leave it for 30 minutes - that would sort it. Can confirm mine has no filter or much else. Replacement due this year. -
The experiment where volunteers gave electric shocks to another volunteer always makes me think what an experiment is really measuring and what they're looking for - we probably aren't mean't to do that and should just do them without the 'metathought' :).

Major update to this app via Island News (Isle of Wight), maybe that's the surprise ? ?Thanks to the great feedback from residents we are now preparing a bigger update next week, rather than an interim update of one new symptom. Residents will test this updated version of the app before it is released nationally." https://www.islandecho.co.uk/islanders-urged-to-keep-using-covid-19-app-with-major-update-expected-next-week/ I like the first comment - sort of fits "I know at least two people that were alerted they?d been near someone with symptoms and all the app told them to do was stay alert!"

I can't really say for sure as the culture in America is different on this and I have no experience of it - there does seem to be a problem. I listened to Killer Mike (he's a rapper) make an excellent speech asking for no more violence or property damage but describing systematic racism in parts of the US system. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rapper-killer-mike-pleads-with-atlanta-demonstrators-to-burn-systemic-racism-not-specific-targets/
