Imagine the derision if someone did it on here :)
  2. Did anybody else notice the smirk from Cummings as he walked away (I've conned you all), coupled with him being late (the late Dominic Cummings as my teacher would say) makes him look a little of a psychopath. This morning on Kay Burley, on criticism from a Bishop all Gove could say was "I wish the Bishop well" - is it me or could that be a threat (only half joking :) - another creepy man) - just saw this - "Bishop of Worcester John Inge tweeted that he received an email warning ?stay out of politics or we?ll kill you? Actually Burley made mincemeat of Gove this morning which I didn't expect - but she's combative at the moment.
  3. People don't like Cummings - even if you don't know his background you can feel he's pretending to be something he isn't. He will fall, maybe not this time, maybe another, It might be satisfying to keep him on a string for a while. I can't forget the way he fired that girl and when he's on the way down he can expect to be treated the way he treated people on the way up.

No children No parents But I still keep to the rules. Didn't realise that Cummings was aristocracy but not surprised. Let us eat rather nice sour dough bread.
  5. I notice the tweet was from an iphone - probably a burner phone and long chucked :)
  6. Just for a second a little mob is formed as Cummings strolled past
  7. Still can't do pics lol - but apparently this was the real civil service account https://twitter.com/ali__samson/status/1264603567991730176
  8. Brilliantly played by the media. They allowed all the government to come up with excuses as to why Cummings was in Durham. Then release that he did it agin 2 weeks later for the Sundays. Well Played.
  9. There was a brother in law in London - support was available much closer to home. Rumours of a death in the family in Durham too. Finally his wife wrote a piece in the Spectator about what they dd when they suffered from COVID-19 - but nothing about Durham mentioned - why ? Shapps didn't seem to be able to answer much - a lot of "I don't know" and tried hopefully to talk about an upgrade to the A66 or some such.
  10. Guardian getting the correct question that the political correspondents seem unable to ask "Among them, why is Cummings being excused for reportedly breaching lockdown rules due to needing help with childcare, when for the last nine weeks parents up and down the country have struggled without help while they suffered symptoms because they didn?t feel they could seek or accept help because it was against the rules? And if it was indeed fine all along, why wasn?t clear guidance on this subject given to the broader population?"
  11. 65 ;)
  12. The smirk comments seemed to knock her back - not the same since.
  13. I think they got the year wrong :) "Unfortunately and against all our efforts, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the fifth edition of GALA to the Bank Holiday 29th & 30th May 2021 in our beloved Peckham Rye Park."

That's the culture of British politics
  15. Didn't Charles take over a lot of the Queens duties recently - now if he sacked Boris that would be controversial. I think it already happened in House of Cards however :)
  16. Bus fares on routemaster buses to be reinstated on May 23.
  17. You can blame any slurred speech in meetings on Virgin Media :)

DO we have any leaders who could being consensus?.
  20. I used to love downdetector but not so good these days (maybe it's me). But they see VM troubles in London and Croydon https://downdetector.co.uk/status/virgin-media/
  21. Wow yes - they do seem to throttle after you use a certain amount - in the US anyway but I bet it's the same here. https://www.androidcentral.com/when-do-carriers-start-throttling-you-and-what-you-can-do-about-it
  22. We don't know that much about the advice given or whether it was followed as it's secret https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/may/18/sage-advice-britain-coronavirus-science-government-policy

I remember a government minister (could be Cleverly) a few years ago mentioning that a load of pro government twitter accounts would be coming online the next week - which makes me suspect there's a government bot factory out there :)
  24. Not all people will objectively calculate risk (people still had unsafe sex in the 1980s) others calculate risk and think 'I'm alright jack' - judging the risk to themselves not society. Others have financial or other interests - many people still claiming the herd immunity agenda is still there.

Yeah - that 100GB I never use but pay for came in useful for once :) Work phone has 5GB and I suppose technically once that's gone you could ask your employer for more or work offline. A home line is not a business line and is not guaranteed the same levels of support - I'd expect an office circuit (pt2pt or ia) to be back up in hours or a day at most - home broadband has much lower levels of service guarantee.
