  1. Gosh it's expensive - thought they'd be the same as mice deterrents. https://www.compoundsecurity.co.uk/product/mosquito/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_9rmwbua6gIVl-7tCh3ImgGGEAAYASAAEgKkifD_BwE

Being as many of us are working from home forever now there is no reason to stay in London. People beginning to fan out across UK (and Europe until Brexit day)
  5. Never mind David Bowie, Superman and Prince leaving the Earth but look to the left :) https://finance.yahoo.com/news/prince-david-bowie-may-returned-160441246.html
  6. Grrrrr - when I used cash even though you don't lose money as the bank will always reimburse immediately this infuriated me as you wanted to withdraw cash for a reason and you're left waiting for a replacement card and taking money out at the branch. Usually happened after bank closing too.
  7. Pubs can open on 4th July - but they need to take precautions and the one that I don't like is the list of drinkers. This is going to end up in the track and trace radar and then what happens to the data ? I'm also unsure how we distinguish between Pubs and Nightclubs - Does the Bishop (only an example) at 1:30 AM constitute a pub or club :)
  8. But if (in a hypothetical world dominated by the English LOL) I said 'Welsh lives matter', the response is not to say 'British Lives Matter' or 'English Lives Mattter' it's to say what makes you think that Welsh lives don't matter and what can we do about it and what should change.
  9. If you run and aren't fit they'll catch you up easily and that's when problems happen. The problem is fighting isn't a cool calm thing with a lot of us in the fight or flight response - you just do anything you can to get away in my experience. Of course most other ways other than violence is preferable
  10. yeah holding even saving a little - even successful companies will make cuts I think. The hope is that change brings opportunities as well as threats.

Oh yes - but Kay just likes being an awkward interviewer these days and to be fair it gets you viewing her. It does sometimes expose that something hasn't been thought through or that the interviewee is just following rules and doesn't understand what they are saying.

It was the weekend that England vs Croatia was supposed to be happening for the first England match in Euro 2020. I think the yobs had already planned to be in London and to cause trouble but the statue thing made a good excuse.
  15. tomdhu Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Did a Google, and she's not exactly a "looker" is > she? Could be a bit grim without all the slap on. She once put on about 4 stone and lost it again to prove that overweight people have themselves to blame. She then got touchy about the photos of her looking 4 stone heavier.
  16. Banned from Twitter forever. Deserves a thread in it's own right. https://www.digitalspy.com/showbiz/a32918031/katie-hopkins-banned-twitter/

  20. I still think of the africa to west indies and america slave trade as something completely different due to the scale of it and the inhumanity. I'd compare to genocides rather than modern slavery - which we still should be tackling - as a developed country we should be capable of doing more than one thing at once.
  21. Here's a website all about flies https://www.fliesonly.com/cluster-flies-information-images-get-rid-of-cluster-flies/ I chase even one around with fly killer (and I know that's bad but I can't put up with them).

Yes I remember - even the stuff that was unfixable and binned meant it couldn't go wrong in service and was replaced before NYE1999
  23. fruit flies are easy to tell as they have that shiny colour. Something big flew around me last night - threw my quilt over it then realised that was really stupid when I couldn't find it - it probably stayed with me all night.
  24. Johnson's car had a bump coming out of Parliament - I very much doubt he even noticed. Steve Bray was there recording it all (He's still there - it's been years)
