Just to clarify 1 - my argument above is for a compromise 2 - no-one should move unless they want to :)
-
Brexit you see - we were told as Remainers if we didn't like Brexit to move to the EU It's the new politics unfortunately. If you get a 52-48 split the 52 get everything they want and the 48 get nothing.

House price lulls shouldn't stop people moving (only first time buying)I'd have thought. Mind you the cross the board 8-10% staff reductions that are happening make you think - but might even push people away from London (back to family) So many people are off once they get the ESW1 certificate it's scary.

There was a guy working in a coffee shop just out from prison on Sky News just now -he said working in the coffee shop changed his life. I don't want to see people like him thrown out of work but I'm also not going to be in coffee houses like I was (twice a day) and if I do I'll be wearing a mask (other than when directly drinking the coffee). This is going to last a lot longer than many people thought so deliveries to home/drinking outside if it's sunny/other options need to be used if this guy and many like him are to stay working.

The atmosphere isn't going to be very 'pub like'. Unfortunately many of us just prefer to stay at home. Many pubs and restaurants may need to change how they work permanently. That's the problem the government has in getting the hospitality industry working.

That's how politics works - since 2016 anyway - people have learnt lessons on how to campaign from Brexit and Trump. Adult arguments seem to be chucked out the window in favour of social media tinsel. Even the question "who funds you ?" is something thrown around on both sides of Brexit.
-
There are a few twitter accounts on both sides of this argument - it's quite controversial isn't it. This one I found is a little sarcastic https://twitter.com/dulwichdrivers. It's a mini Brexit in Dulwich village.

There was talk yesterday a vaccine or herd immunity could only last 3 months That means we're stuck with Covid forever.

You can't when you drink (the beer needs to go in) - but you could when moving around or going to the loo. But seeing the news a second spike looks possible and secondary issues are being reported with those infected (the young for instance) - I have a thing about long term issues mind as my dad died at 47 from a long term issue started by Diphtheria as a boy.
-
Uncle has been doing that for years and years - we tend to believe his views are real and he's not trolling (trolling to me means putting a false viewpoint/creating a character just to wind people up)

Not involved and not even posted on the long thread but just couldn't resist having a nose and doing a whois. People aren't as web unsavvy as they once were though.

Not much info - not much at all Twitter account exists as @realonedulwich -> @onedulwich already exists and refers to this one as "No links to local drivers group with similar name!" twitter followed by 'Dulwich and Norwood Conservatives' but that's no smoking gun. You can ask them.

IT and Telecoms seem to be OK with the projects going on - I'm surprised so many people abandoned these areas as a career 10 to 15 years ago leaving older skilled workers and no real new entrants to the sector. People underestimate the work involved in just removing Huawei from the network if the government decides to do this. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2020/jul/13/bt-boss-warns-of-outages-and-security-risks-if-uk-ditches-huawei

Lots of people are now free to move out of London to something of euivilent cost but nicer. Just noticed Boris saying we all should go back to our offices as he's realised hospitality businesses in Office areas have no customers. It's too late Bozza - We closed our offices and moved to a WFH model and so did many many others. What did he expect

You're supposed to take it home with you :) I remember the below mind - very well - we lost all our large public bins. But I like the idea of smart bins "Your rubbish is refused and your name referred to the auhorities" Small quote as it's paywalled - author then looks at what sort of bins we vould use. ?It?s because of the IRA,? I said, explaining that three decades ago, British security forces removed most metal bins in stations and the City of London because the IRA kept planting bombs in them. In 1991, for example, a bomb exploded in a bin in Victoria station, injuring commuters as the metal turned into shrapnel." https://www.ft.com/content/3fa0c1ae-7f84-11e6-bc52-0c7211ef3198

Ignoring China we should have been ready - isn't seeing through lies what our intelligence departments are for. Supposedly the UK leads the world in Intelligence - we seem to have failed or taken our eye off the ball for some reason. -
The Express hasn't been hacked mind - for 5 years (you'd believe otherwise). and before anyone does say - prize whataboutery but the Guardian seems to be held to a higher level than some of the others (maybe deservingly so ) :)

I got a fake EE text which I reported to EE fraud - 'problem with your payment please click here' (googling there are a lot of them around). You don't hear any result back though just a 'thanks for reporting this will help us going forward' and the texts just start from a different number.
