  1. 10 years ago we actually had something to be frightened of. Now it's just teenagers looking for the trendiest place to hang out and screaming a lot. I remember some really nasty crimes when I first moved here - a nasty murder of some French students in New Cross for instance and the mistaken identity stabbing of somebody in London Bridge. Possibly the scariest one recently for me was the one in Greenwich for a Rolex. Perhaps they scare me because they are the few that could have been me.

  3. Didn't we used to have deices for this back in the 70s Here's one https://www.milksafes.co.uk/ You leave it open then it locks without a key - needs key to unlock

There's evidence beginning to come out that Covid-19 is cumulative - it leaves tissue damage in those who didn't even show many symptoms. https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2020/07/brain-fog-heart-damage-covid-19-s-lingering-problems-alarm-scientists If that's true and you combine it with non-life immunity (you could catch it again next year) and you have a very dangerous bug.
  9. The bottom line is there is going to be less cars if present policies (London, UK, WOrld ?) continue. Sooner or later we'll end up with electric cars controlled from Amazon Data Centers all following the same route at 20 mph but until then ?

Well 3:00AM you get people kicking rubbish put out by businesses around here (I think they play bin football). The binmen just pick it all up loose in the morning. If they didn't you'd be walking up Rye Lane knee deep in rubbish after a day or two.
  11. If pubs go closed again expect a run on beer and wine.

  14. They don't want a run off - they want less cars in total. Yellow School Buses need to be used for school. We had an ancient double decker when I was young and a very angry driver. I notice delivery drivers and scaffolders have now been moving the blockade at Rye Lane so not sure if a change of guidance.

You wear your costume already - like down the beach - that's what they mean by beachwear I've used swim shorts for years - teenage when I last wore speedos (and it was the 80s) LOL
  16. The one way route has gone in Tesco Express I note. Not sure if similar in Sainsburys.
  17. I hear no showers in most places (why am I linking the Sun ! so I removed the link but it says the below) reheated water at 0.25c an hour No showers Changing Room closed social distancing beach ready We're finished opening up now according to Whitty and may even lock down a bit.
  18. Signed - and just for those my age in the petition "It?s a place for everyone of any age to come"
  19. Seems some of the clubs are open on Rye Lane now - not sure which but some activity late at night on thursday - saturday.
  20. It's down to the executor I think but ... "In these circumstances, the next of kin may choose not to claim responsibility for the person who has died. When a person is unclaimed by next of kin, the local authority that oversees the place where the person died, will arrange a public health funeral, sometimes also known as a pauper?s funeral, for them." https://www.funeralguide.co.uk/help-resources/when-someone-dies/next-of-kin-all-you-need-to-know
  21. DPD beer delivery couldn't get through to me yesterday and I blamed them LOL - probably the traffic. Lets see today
  22. Good soundproofing doesn't help in this heat - I just get out COD-MW and shoot. (Edit - It's a game and I have headphones although it's tempting to put the battle on full volume if it's noisy out)

You're wasting my CCTV cloud space which I then have to ask Alexa to delete :) If you act like you care they won't stop.
  24. My Laptop is 10 years old and came with Windows 8 (Yuck) I upgraded a while ago to 10 and the 8 licence allowed be to go to 10. I over specced it 10 years ago and have 16G of RAM, i7 (ancient gen) etc. It still runs nicely on latest version of 10.
