BUMP! ADMIN CAN YOU MAKE STICKY PLEASE
 -
so do you all think its overkill to have a warmer? here is what Im (potentially naively) picturing in my mind.. last feed, we all go to sleep, bottle is in bottle warmer keeping it warm, wake up, bottle is warm already, feeds straight away thus avoiding the screaming by having to wait for micro or water etc - is that not how it works? *waits for all the experienced mums to burst out laughing at me hahaha* x
 -
It does thank you.. If the bottle warmer does either bm or formula then that's perfect as I have all madela bottles so thank you I will go ahead and order one.. xx

I almost purchased one of these in mothercare on the weekend thinking it would be super helpful, I am planning on breastfeeding and expressing.. It says it is used for breastmilk which is great but then I thought what if the breastfeeding doesnt work out or I want to integrate a single formula feed in there somewhere down the line etc etc.. Can I still use the bottle warmer for formula or is it exclusively for breastmilk and I would then have to buy a new one with new bottles? Any advice greatly appreciated! x

thanks all, really really helpful, sounds like snow suits are the way to go.. I'll start looking around but maybe I'll need to wait til they have winter stock in.. One other thing, I have been told the sleep bags are the way to go (2.5 tog for winter) but my partner is questioning why we wouldnt use blankets? Im assuming the only reason is because then they cant kick them off in the night and wake up screaming and cold? Are there any safety reasons also? thanks again! x

Thanks all.. Clean up is finally done and I'm consoling myself with a lovely piece of lemon cake.. We will definitely be locking the chubb from now on, replacing back door with no dog flap and upgrading locks on windows upon advice from policeman.. Once bitten and all that.. Xx -

Hi Steve Yep either over the front gate or the back fence not sure which.. Police have just left and he has advised to chubb lock doors even when sleeping as there are circa 3 a week in ED at the moment where they can slip the lock with a piece of bottle plastic in literally 10 seconds, he attended one last night where the break in happened whilst the people were sleeping.. I am just thanking the heavens it happened whilst we were at work.. -
Came home from work yesterday to having been robbed.. I intially came home and my keys wouldnt work in the front door so I went to a friend's til my partner came home.. Long story short the back door wise wide open with a big hole in it as they have broken in through the back door, pulled out the dog door and smashed the door with a big enough hole for someone small to climb inside and get the back door key that was on the microwave - the key was still in the lock on the outside!. Looks like they were quickly in and out, ipads, jewellery, watches and money stolen, bedroom completely ransacked.. They also broke the front door lock so that our keys wouldnt work (at 7 months pregnant I had to climb in through the front window!!).. My poor dog was home the whole time ( a little king charles so not a guard dog and was fine but crying and a bit stressed when we finally got in) Anyways police were called they came and I now have the fingerprinters at my place as I type this.. He said based on the size of the fingerprints that are being found it looks like two people - an older and a younger person (he said one of the fingerprints looks like the size of circa a 12 year old).. Just to make you all aware.. xx

As a dog owner who takes their dog for a walk in that park and who leashes their dog around the pond and Japanese gardens section I think it's a little unfair when you say 'no dog owners have control of their dogs' - generalising much? I'm sorry you felt fearful and some people weren't doing the right thing but a little temperance on your behalf wouldn't go astray..

Good to see everyone.. I've taken my pregnant butt home to the sofa.. Have fun x

Welcome!! I like : Bishop - pub Gowlett - pub and best pizza in town by far Old Nuns head in Nunhead - best sunday roast hands down (but you will get lots of different views on where to eat) Thai corner cafe - fantastic little thai restaurant but book! circa 18-20 a head (byo booze) which includes normally 2 courses and corkage.. Buddha Jazz - great thai restaurant but a bit more upmarket than thai cafe and also you can linger longer.. circa 25-30 a head including booze.. The pheonix pub (on top of demark hill station) is wicked on a friday night (dont go on a sat as it is literally empty!) Swadesh and Mirash - favourite curry houses - (maybe join the curry club that meets once a month) yee wah chinese takeaway on Barry road Clockhouse for a cheeky glass (ok 5) of red wine on a rainy winter afternoon Hope that helps!! -
