PS giggirl, i would have to shop around a bit for a virgin these days , and i once went in my garden in just my underpants to get the washing in as it was raining, does this count instead of dancing around goose green in the nuddy? ( i feel the ducking stool beckoning me)

  4. i had a look around the new gym in forest hill yesterday, its where the old mcdonalds used to be, it is very well equipped, and is quite large, there is a large basement area where the changing rooms and sauna are with what i was told will be the largest free weight room in the area, they have personal trainers and a a lot of classes planned. My partner became a founder member this month with a joining fee of ?20, don't know when this offer ends but i think the monthy fee is about ?38 a month, i think i will join when i am well enough after a few months of illness as it is quite good for people this end of East Dulwich i can walk there no problem or go on my way back from work via forest hill station. PS i dont work for them, i am a pastry chef so my job is keeping people fat not thin ;)
  5. probably the same guy who sped through the red light at the crossing outside kings college hospital, i was crossing after a check up with others started crossing when the green man came up was halfway across when a cyclist ( in all the expensive gear) went straight through the lights at full speed screaming wait and holding his hand out to us to stop as though we were in the wrong for crossing some poor old dear who he just missed nearly popped her cloggs on the spot, i shouted out a few words and was replied with the finger. Before i was ill i cycled to work everyday, and will do so again when better, and i have always stopped at lights as i do not want to injure anyone else or myself and find the worst culprits i have to deal with are other cyclists (especially city types who think they are in the tour de france going over black friars bridge
  6. The wheelie bins are there to make the dustmans job easier apparently, i am all for making peoples lives easier, but i remember once when my mum worked as a house manager for a warden controlled block of flats for the elderly in islington she had a letter of complaint from the council on behalf of the binmen as all the wheelie bins were kept in an area which had THREE steps to street level, the letter stated that the refuse men refuse to take the bins up the steps due to fear of injury and that residents should make sure bins are moved to street level before collection day, so my mum ended up moving them (all ten) on her own as you couldnt expect 90 year old maude to do it whilst balancing on her zimmer
  7. went to visit one of my oldest friends and her family for sunday lunch a few weeks after my civil partnership ceremony, (she was one of the witnesses) My friends husband was joking about and said to their 7 year old son sam, "mummys burnt the potatoes again, she's rubbish, do you think i should go and get a new mummy", sam thought about this for a while and said in a matter of fact way " no daddy, i don't think so, you wont be able to get another mummy " dad was a little peeved and asked why, sam replied in a bored deadpan way " because there aren't any mummy's left, thats why uncle mark had to marry a man. :)

  9. i bought my shaver there in december, only to have to go in for chemotherapy soon after so haven't needed to use it for 6 months, bloody irony ;)
  10. with the butchers, bakers, fishmongers onion seller, and a hog roast it gets more like cranford everyday, you wont be able to move for bonnets and crinoline soon ;) I love it, i think a better a better selection of mens clothing is needed , especially where footwear is concerned, i cant walk in the heels in the shoes which are on offer at the moment, its murder running after the p13
  11. The BBC website said he was found by a maid, sitting in a wardrobe in his room with a cord around his neck and "other parts of his body", is this another michael hutchence incident ????
  12. Xtube, not for the faint hearted or the nuns of this world, i even clutched my hand bag to my chest in indignation ;)

Keep up the good work :) and thank you for your kind words
  14. I know this is probably a pretty strange thing to put on here i suppose, but i wanted to say a big public thank you to the staff at kings college hospital, especially the staff on the Davidson ward and hematology. In december i was Diagnosed with a high grade stage four non hodgkins Lymphoma, i had it under my arm and on my spine, i was whisked in for nearly 5 months of intensive chemotherapy, spending most of that time in hospital on the davidson ward, the staff were fantastic from the doctors to the nurses to the staff serving food, they kept my moral up , and leapt to action at every sign of infection due to having no immune system at all, when times were bad and dark they looked after my mental health and gave support to my partner and family if needed. last wednesday i was told i was all clear of cancer and in full remission. I have a lot more visits in the future to make sure it stays away, but just wanted to thank them all for saving my life, ( i know some read this forum) Thank you to my boss who decided that statutory sick pay was shite and has kept me on full pay through out all this. And thank you East dulwich forum for keeping me entertained whilst i was in my hospital bed on my laptop, i feel i know you all now :) I was sitting in the garden of lucas having a coffee with my friend in the sun today, thinking how lucky i am to be here. Sorry about the long post, hope no one fell asleep, just wanted to get that off my chest :)
  15. A friend of mine has just been looking to rent in ED. It was made clear that most of the landlords would accept offers on the rent near the asking price, she finally rented a lovely two bed flat for just over ?100 per month less then the rent advertised.
  16. Have been watching the bats that shoot passed our french windows in the garden at dusk, they seem to be attracted by the flying insects that head for the security lights the foxes set off
  17. Was in somerfields this afternoon, the young lad stacking fruit and veg sneezed twice into his gloves, wiped them down on his trousers and continued stacking, " nice" i said to him,he just looked and carried on, if your not going to get swine flu you will get something from the apples probably :/
  18. We had the opposite problem when we cleared out our flat when we moved from Blackheath to Dulwich 3 years ago, we had a skip out the front and was fascinated by the people we saw rummaging around, they took half the stuff in it and it was all a load of tat, old clothes curtains broken china and appliances etc, one woman pulled up in a van, put on some marigold gloves and piled most of it in her van, it saved us getting another skip, we got to the stage where we would put stuff in and hide behind the blinds in the kitchen waiting for someone to come along, we didn't have a long wait, word must have got around, i felt like Bill Oddie on nature watch.
  19. During easter i took my little nephew and niece to the horniman to see the aquarium, all buggies were left in "parking" areas around the museum, made me smile as it looked like an enormous buggy show room. A little girl came up and hugged kissed my surprised 18 month old niece by giving her a kiss and a hug, her mum rushed up and said, " sorry about that i dont know where she gets that from, its not me, it must be her nanny". Only in Dulwich :)
  20. a Japanese virgin at that who's bloodline can be traced right back through the imperial line
  21. Good luck, will check out your sponsorship page. As for me i was diagnosed with non hogkins lymphoma in december, i am currently in kings having my last course of treatment, i was in over 90% remission by the halfway stage so hopefully looking good for my final scans, will definatly be giving you my support
  22. There is a McDonalds around the corner from where i work, my guilty pleasure is occasionally popping in with my paper and having an egg and bacon burger with a large coffee, If my other half found out my bags would be on the street. Their Coffee is powerful though, by the time i get to work i think people think i have popped a pill of speed. :)
  23. My partner has reserved the space at the back where the Dj decks are a couple of times for birthday gatherings and they were really helpful and allowed us to play our own music through our ipod as well, and everyone ends up ordering food which they coped with quite well, we have reserved the odd table now and again for when visiting friends come down we always end up having their fab burgers :)

    a joke

A woman looked at her husband and sighed " i wish my tits were bigger. The husband looked up and handed her a wad of toilet paper and said, "here use this". "what's that for"? she asked. "to rub on your tits" he replied, "it worked on your arse"
