  1. I would just like to point out that I used the obituary thread initially and came onto this one as I thought maybe Cilla deserved a thread of her own (just an opinion). Louisa.
  2. You know what I'm like goose, one more push and I'll be forced into a rant about how gentrification has caused the breakdown of social norms in deprived neighbourhoods. Don't want that now, do ya? ;-) Louisa.
  3. Who private messages you, out of interest? Louisa.
  4. It was a typo goose! Give me a break! Louisa.
  5. Out of interest how much is honey in lidl? Anyone? Louisa.
  6. Otta there are PLENTY of other individuals on this forum who do a lot worse than stray off topic and not admit when they are wrong (personally I've not seen that from fox at all but there you go). Louisa.
  7. I agree Otta. Or the great Marc Bolam, Amy Winehouse, Elvis Presley, Judy Garland.. The list is endless. Even sadder and on a daily basis young people are taken in horrific and tragic accidents, by cancer, murdered etc I just personally don't think anyone who isn't grieving is entitled to measure the level of grievance someone else may well feel. We are all entitled to deal with grief and take as long as want doing so regardless of the connection and the circumstances surrounding said persons demise. Louisa.
  8. Fox, I for one hope you continue to engage us all with your knowledge and selfless contributions on topics we otherwise would not be aware of. It's very easy to take the pee out of someone and accuse them of narcissism without actually engaging with them beyond endless and futile 'banter' aimed solely at mocking and scoffing the individual. I think anyone in their right mind could see the point you were making from the start, and all this selective tampering with your key points are just pety and childish. Most people reading this thread will know who's talking bs and who isn't. Louisa.
  9. Death is the one certainty waiting all of us. In fact, it's a part of life, life's conclusion if you will. Yes it is sad to lose someone or something dear to us, and it's very final. I've dealt with grief multiple times during my time on this earth and anyone and everyone is entitled to feel grief regardless of how loose the connection may appear to the outside world. Louisa.
  10. I am often amazed when I have a weekend away somewhere down on the coast just how cheap it is to eat and drink out and come home with change. Great friendly service and no 'additional charges' without consent (unlike most London eateries). Is it any wonder people are moving out of this city to find cheaper housing and living standards? Granted we have it all on the doorstep here so a car isn't needed, but other than that it's a bloody pricey place to live. Louisa.
  11. Fox has a certain way of posting, as we all do. You've all made your point, can anyone really justify dragging poor foxy through the mud on this one? Let's just drop it. Louisa.
  12. ???? Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > fooking hell it's so tedious now it's beyond that > shark jumping thing. Relentless stuck record of > unpleasantness, and to think I used to be a fan. But oddly quids you don't respond to the other 50 odd threads covering the same topic of the picturehouse, going over the same old ground in sections of the forum they shouldn't even be in (which I am actually mocking in this here thread) But as I said in the honey thread, why let that get in the way of anything? Quick it's flying over your head, turn before it disappears... Quick! ... Damn you missed it. Looks like the sense of humour spacecraft was missed. Better luck next time! Louisa.
  13. Foxy don't bother talking about the facts. Why let them get in the way of a good opportunity for a tired old ad naseum Foxy/Louisa bashing eh? Badgers Mount in Kent has a great garden centre that sells 100% real honey produced locally, and I can assure everyone it's a lot more than 2 quid a pop. Louisa.
  14. Since when was this thread disparaging? The aim was create a positive space for people who are sick of all the other negative threads on the forum about this cinema chain. I'm sick of hearing people moaning about people who make countering threads against those in other threads moaning about gentrified cinema chains. Give it a rest! Rah how about you start a thread about people like me making threads about people moaning about our new cinema? Have we come full circle yet? Happy Saturday everyone! Louisa.
  15. Right we had the gaumont on Peckham high street/queens road. The tower cinema on rye lane. The odeon? Where the job centre is near Burger King in Peckham. Let me keep thinking there's definitely two I'm missing out here. Louisa.
  16. I don't particularly like the cinema myself. But I usually go down to Beckenham odeon if I do see something I fancy watching on the big screen, nice change of scenery, pop into Nandos for some peri peri chicken beforehand. I do believe cinemas are missing a trick by not offering more variety and competitive pricing but I'm not that fussed about it either way. When I was a kid Peckham had 5 cinemas and ED had an Odeon. Now that's what I call choice! Louisa.
  17. Come on Alan, no more moaning please. This is a positive thread about our beloved cinema! Now pass me the jelly babies I'm loving this Spanish subtitled documentary. It's what cinema was made for. Louisa.
  18. This thread is designed for people who don't mind paying a small fortune to watch a film (including snacks). Not everyone wants to underpay for something when they can pay over the odds and brag about it to their mates. Now can we please stop with the negativity towards the overpriced facilities that gentrification provides for working class neighbourhoods. Now who wants some popcorn? Anyone? Louisa.
  19. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=746lOmgpw74 The great Viola Wills with her disco cover "Get along without you now". Louisa.
  20. FFS can we stop with all this negativity FJDGoose - talk about a 'ray of sunshine'. ;-) LOL-isa.

Or it certainly is very similar. Louisa.
  22. For me a taste of the 1970's would be a fudge bar. And the famous ad on TV at the time. Louisa.
  23. According to the third drop down box on the official Cadbury website, the reason for different cocoa content is to do with storage and milk variation. https://www.cadbury.co.uk/contact/faq.aspx I've always thought dairy milk tasted a little more creamy than the other bars. Louisa.
  24. Higher cocoa content in the likes of Twirl, Flake, Crunchie than standard bar of Dairy Milk. Louisa.
  25. After speaking with Mondelez/Cadbury customer care team, I can confirm the chocolate recipe used on all Fry's products remains the same it's always been, and is loyal to the original Fry's recipe (they do not use Bourneville or Dairy Milk as a coating). Louisa.
