  1. And so the goading begins. Yawn. As predictable as ever. Louisa.
  2. Why beat about the bush? Just say Louisa and Foxy! There done it for you Seabag. Grow a pair, say it like it is. Louisa.
  3. They're unhealthy, they are made up of pretty bland and basic ingredients most of the time. Pointless food article. They're patronising primarily because they're French, you could spray a turd in Chanel no.5 and because it's French it would be superior to any other turd. You get the idea. Muck. Louisa.
  4. Thinking ahead here, if you are going to defend the croissant in response to my irrational rage thread gripe, please do it here as the positive thread for lovers of this patronising French breakfast snack already exist in general issues, and I don't want to be accused of hijacking the irrational rage thread. Hell why I am even having to explain myself. Louisa.
  5. I may be wrong, but I would hazard a guess that Iceland croissants are a little less pretentious than the ones you get in other shops. It's not my thing, good luck to you if it is yours, but I just find them pointless. Queue the barrage of responses of 'croissants are peasant food in France' nonsense from usual undercover guardianista snobs. Louisa.
  6. Threads about croissants. You know gentrification has destroyed a neighbourhood when a dedicated team of forum members contribute towards such a tedious topic. I think the ED 'knob-o-meter' scale has finally hit red and exploded. Louisa.
  7. What is it these days with committees for everything? Just dispose of your waste in the normal manner, end of. All this nanny state nonsense does my head in. Louisa.
  8. For Your Eyes Only - Sheena Easton Louisa.
  9. Plenty of 'clique activism' on the EDF that's for sure. Louisa.

    West wickham

West Wickham is a nice area, but somewhat suburban and boring. The plus side for me would be that the amenities of Bromley are a short bus ride/brisk walk away and the beautiful green belt countryside surrounding Keston Ponds/Downe/Biggin Hill are all within easy reach. I used to be a big fan of 'The Pickhurst' pub, I believe it's changed hands recently and is now something else? Totally different experience to around here. I do struggle when people in ED talk about diversity though. Let's face it, in the last 20 years I would argue ED has become noticeably LESS diverse in many ways. The death of certain shops has contributed to that, but so has the rise in property prices. Anyway I won't go there. Louisa.

    Question

.....Tell me what you think about me, I buy my own diamonds and I buy my own rings. Only ring your cell-y when I'm feelin lonely, when it's all over please get up and leave. Am I the only person who thought this when they read the thread title? Louisa.

Nice inflammatory language > there. What are suggesting about Saudi Arabia? This country has economic migrants from all over the world working within its borders. Are you suggesting they do not have any obligation to help at all with something so close to them? What about Israel? What about Kuwait? UAE? Nothing inflammatory about me suggesting parts of southern Italy, Greece and the Baltic states are overwhelmed. You've seen the footage inside the train station in Hungary yes? Louisa.
  13. When it comes to refugees specifically (NOT economic migrants and the situation in Calais), it's interesting to note the lack of support from wealthy Arab states in helping people who are fleeing persecution. This BBC article points out some of the key points. The poor people fleeing Syria with kids are having been to travel to already overwhelmed EU states when some absurdly wealthy countries in their own region aren't even batting an eyelid. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-34132308 This story has such a wide scope, not only are we Brits not pulling our weight on this, but neither are the French nor a whole host of other wealthy countries. And for goodness sakes, can we not confuse the desperate plight of refugees with the choices made by economic migrants to travel across safe havens to reach a country of choice. I would like to point you blah blah to my previous posts on this subject before jumping to conclusions about my conscience. Louisa.
  14. Yeah the realities of city life eh bags? Heaven forbid having to rough it! Can't even rough it round here now without having a focaccia stuffed in your face for a fiver a pop. Anyway, keep pontificating about roughing it in the south of France. Hope the yacht wasn't too small and the champagne was kept ice cold at all times? 'Knob' syndrome appears to be catching. Louisa.
  15. All this middle class do-gooding is all well and good, but would they return the favour if you or your family were desperate? That's what you need to ask yourself. I've had plenty of crap in my life and no one helped me. And don't bother giving me FA out of 10 because I'm being serious. Louisa.
  16. I'm just back from a two week break in Skegness. I lived in a caravan and ate slops from a dustbin. Anymore gloating BS about poncing off abroad to some fancy pants location and I'll vom in my mouth. Snobby tossers! Louisa.
  17. Peckham has always been its own unique place. Whatever community has decided to make it their home, that pioneering community spirit, rooted in its rural history has always held firm and set it apart from other 'villages' in London. Whatever anyone thinks of its present guise or its evolving guise, I do hope this will always be true. It's not the new anything, it's itself. Louisa.
  18. Come on quids, you've been preaching that mantra day in day out for a long old time now. Wouldn't say you didn't have the bottle not to start a thread about it. More likely you're enjoying winding up the cunts ;-) Louisa.
  19. Day in, day out, countless unloved head pieces are needlessly abandoned on the streets of South London. But it doesn't have to be this way. With your help we can re-home many of these unloved syrup's with bawding men and women across East Dulwich. Please find it in your heart to donate just one frittata today to *Bob*'s Wig Re-homing centre, and you'll help give filthy forgotten head toppers a fresh chance at a new life with one of our desperately bawding EDF members. Louisa.

  21. This sounds like my kind of pub. A burping thug threatening violence if you eyeball them the wrong way. Not that it's ever happened to me, I'm usually targeted by yummies with prams in the street. Louisa.
  22. I say chain, they only have 8 outlets around the city. But, they're in some pretty decent parts of London. Looks like ED has been overlooked in favour of our wayward (but much more interesting) younger brother. Oops. http://peckhampeculiar.tumblr.com Blenheim Grove is the location. How many out of 10 do I get for this one Jeremy? ;-) Louisa.
  23. Well that's cleared the air. Anyone wanna come over mine for a fritatta and chips? Louisa.
  24. I know you are. Louisa.
  25. Lalalalalalalalalalalalala. Louisa.
