  1. Barnham Market has indeed been spoilt by the usual gentrifying suspects. Loaded to the brim with poncy Home Counties bell ends (who probably live in a crap part of London). Shame. Louisa.
  2. Brown bread. Funeral directors, Stepney. Louisa.
  3. I had a silverfish infestations few years back in my kitchen. They're harmless but creepy. They will damage textiles. Louisa.
  4. *Bob* you weren't adverse to shuveling the soil on top of the coffin either! Anyway, I spent a bloody fortune in that place over the years and by promoting them on here I brought a new generation of blow in's to the attention of an authentic ED (French) restaurant. Louisa.

    honesty!

That would never happen in Margate. Louisa.

Of which, > I think, we have a grand total of one. R.I.P Le Moulin. We still miss you Eric and Margaret. Louisa.
  7. Any pub which substitutes the words "pub" or "food" for "bar and kitchen". Gets my back up every time. Louisa.
  8. I think you'll find it's the council in charge of road surfacing, not central government. Maybe contact your local ward councillor? How do you know it's costing millions of pounds out of interest? And are you talking about every road or just some? Is it entire resurfacing or pothole covering? So many questions.... So many.... Louisa.
  9. Thank you all for the suggestions. Plenty here for them to be getting on with. It's always annoying with classical, you read the name of the piece and the composer and remain blank faced, listen to it for a split second and you know exactly what it is. Whatever she chooses, it's got to be shortened as goosey pointed out, and be suitable for solo violin. I'll keep you posted. Keep suggestions coming though please. Louisa.
  10. Couldn't suggest a nicer place than this boutique hotel/manor house/restaurant on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Near Blackmoor Gate in North Devon. http://www.kentisburygrange.com Louisa.
  11. Can anyone offer advice on a good piece of classical music to walk down the aisle to? Me and my friend are stumped. Her daughter knows nothing about classical and neither do we. She's got a friend with a violin who's offered to play at the ceremony. I would research it but know little to nothing about classical music. Any help much appreciated. So far we have come up with Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring? Bach is it? Louisa.

    Greece...

A doomed project from the start. Never been in favour of European integration, different languages, cultures, work ethics and schools of thought on economics. I'll be voting to leave the EU, not for nationalistic reasons- but for self preservation reasons. Louisa.
  13. Spiders are the most successful species in terms of numbers, longevity, hunting and survival skills. They thrive in both hot and cold climates, and are blood thirsty predators who rarely go hungry. Louisa.
  14. My interpretation of Darwinism, is that animals who are predators/carnivorous tend to be the most successful at survival and consequently are higher up the food chain. But that's all turned on its head when you judge mental intelligence (or is it ignorance?) of humanity, when we use weapons to hunt and destroy mammals who may be physically stronger than us but mentally weaker. Louisa.
  15. Just had a PM telling me there's one on Rye Lane. I've found they have a website, and apparently there are two of them on Rye Lane? Very confused. Slightly shocked too, haven't wandered down there in years because of the smell, but I might park in Morrisons and wander round to find it. Superdrug you say? Could it have moved? Louisa.
  16. At least none of them have screwed the planets climate over, knowingly mass murdered their fellow species for messed up ideals, or sung their own praises about how feckin great they are. I despair at humanity sometimes. Complacent fucks! Louisa.
  17. FYI I'm talking about the chain store "The Perfume Shop" not just any old shop selling perfumes. Thanks. Louisa.
  18. Can anyone help me? I need to find a Perfume Shop relatively locally tomorrow as I can't get to Bromley Intu/Glades. I've got a voucher. Where is the nearest one? Is there one in Lewisham? Thanks. Louisa.
  19. I know they're not included here, but pigs are extremely intelligent. I do feel guilty when I eat bacon. Louisa.
  20. How can you say that blah? Dogs are used in bomb detection, for the blind, in herding amongst other things. A cat doesn't even come close in terms of intelligence. Louisa.
  21. I would punt at a dog being the most intelligent. But I don't know much about greyhounds and there is variation between breeds. Louisa.
  22. He needs to reward the base rural base tory support which has been there through the dark years of Blair. Think he needs to realise we've had this debate and they lost it, move on and talk about the big issues facing the country. The tories just can't helps themselves. Louisa.
  23. Anyone who promotes cruelty by going along to these events is just as bad IMO. If people didn't go and watch, these horrible people would not have any need to do this. A lot of times, it's done in poorer countries where they make money from tourism. Wealthy western nations have absolutely no excuse to be promoting and encouraging this kind of cruelty. Shame on the scum taking part and the people watching. Louisa.
  24. Loved that Otta. Made my Sunday. Louisa.
