Well if I was floating before (I wasnt) then I'd certainly not be now. A desperate attempt to gain the endorsement of this Russell Brand individual who claims one minute we need a revolution and voting cannot get that, then he's saying we can have that by voting Labour. It seems I voted labour for the very last time in 2005, and this is the second election I've been turned off by these desperate media stunts. I'm voting for Steve Nally on Thursday. Louisa.

I disagree keeky. Petrol tastes great. Louisa.

Totally agree Foxy. Adore the smell of coffee but I can't stand the taste. That's why I usually opt for the gold blend made with milk if I'm forced to have a cup. I would opt for bread myself, tastes good but it smells so much better when it's cooking. Louisa.

Just a little reminder that Cherylyn is one of the top social media personalities in Australia and all this mocking and scoffing of her work will not alter that fact. Louisa.

My money is on Diana the second. Or maybe they'll name the child after our very own sue? Louisa.

Interestingly some bookies now narrowly back Conervative minority government over Labour one in latest odds. Maybe reflective of recent polling averages. Louisa.

100% correct DaveR. I see no difference between the Mail, Telegraph et al condemning Miliband as some extreme Socialist as I do the left wing press peddling the idea of the nasty tory party - neither are correct, and I prefer someone having a valid reason (such as your South Wales miner example) for being ideologically opposed to a political party rather than a half baked wishy washy gripe. This is why Labour has lost touch with its people, and why neither party will outright win this election. Louisa.

Cherylyn is a great social media personality. I've included a clip below for you to have a butchers at her work. Louisa.

You're better than that. I can't remember the last time I needed to read a newspaper article to have a genuine opinion on politics and politicians so thanks for the insinuation but I'm exactly the kind of person Miliband and co should be trying to woo, and have so far failed miserably to do, this election cycle. Mr Miliband is indeed a rebel without a cause, he is trying to appeal to the core vote with a classic middle of the road agenda, it's half baked. This nonsense is why the Labour Party are sinking in Scotland and are now only solid in English and Welsh heartlands and about 1/3 of the marginals nationwide. Labour is far from united, lots of people within its rank have had their doubts about Miliband from day one. This election outcome will turn out to be their nightmare scenario, a minority government (probably without the most the seats or popular vote) propped up by the very nationalists who will more than likely wipe them out north of the border, anyone who suggests they are not heading for a very rocky five year term is living in dreamland. The British electorate are historically a lot less forgiving of the Labour Party in turmoil than the Conservatives, remember the 1970s? The right wing press predictably is against him, but it's bigger than that, business arent keen, much of his core vote would rather he wasn't there (including myself) and even if you discount losses in Scotland he is not performing well in the polls. I stick by what I said, this election is not one to win, no one will come out of this as a winner, and a party with no mandate to govern, without the most seats, with informal support from Socialist (or that patronising word progressive) parties, the main one being one that wants to break up the country it intends to govern will result in one outcome. The Labour movement sent back into the wilderness for another decade or more. For the life of me I cannot understand the drivel some people speak when it comes to politics. Yes the Tories are in trouble, but Labour are in far worse position. They will lose The trust of Scotland and they've not won back the support of Middle England. They're want to appeal to the core vote and yet their policies are all over the place? Louisa.

I certainly will not be voting for Miliband. He's like a rebel without cause. A Stalinist before communism came into being. The guy is ok, don't get me wrong, he's just not a potential prime minister. He lacks every quality in the book and if (a very big if), he does become our next PM he will be weak and the right wing press will anihilate him if (again a very big if), he manages to serve out a full term. He will damage the Labour Party more than its ever been damaged before. What with the situation unfolding in Scotland, he could potentially be the overseer of the next period of Labour political hibernation. This isn't an election to knowingly win, it's one to knowingly lose. Louisa.

Labour has a slightly easier path to forming a minority government with informal support from left leaning parties this is true. However, as an old timer I can recall numerous elections where this has happened and the tories always have pulled it back in the final days even hours of a campaign. If the tories poll close to 290 for example, and the liberals hold on to around 30 seats, Cameron's path to forming a government becomes far easier with informal support from the 8/9 unionists in Northern Ireland and the 2/3 UKIP people. It would of course be a very loose supply for votes. It really does depend on which of the two main parties can get those extra 10/15 seats to give them more options. If you look at the 'ultra marginal' polling, the Tories are out performing Labour in 12/15 seats by 1 to 4 points(within margin of error), which would change the outcome substantially. Louisa.
-
Absolutely am, I guess another big question is do the 'shy tory' votes come from UKIP voters and vice versa. Estimates suggest 40% of UKIP supporters traditionally vote tory, will a general election bring those people back into the fold and in what numbers? Louisa.
-
I still think the 'shy tory' vote will play a big part in the outcome of this election. With things so close, a handful of marginals could make the difference between the Tories or Labour forming a minority government. The big question mark surely remains UKIP in England and the SNP in Scotland. The number of votes and or seats taken by either will make that crucial difference to the big two. Louisa.

Does anyone on the forum know of or follow the fabulous Cherylyn Barnes who has a channel on YouTube? Louisa.

Admin has not divulged rah but I fear it may be permanent because a fair few people in ED general issues have supported my ban with follow up messages to admin what a nasty individual I am. As I say, witch hunt. I honestly believe a few people on Oakhurst Grove have seen me in the garden with my bottle and are monitoring my every movement post ban. I feel trapped within these four walls, awaiting my sentence. Mr Louisa refuses to be drawn on any of this but I do suspect he is somehow involved in this conspiracy. Louisa.

*Bob*, I've opened the window now does that help? Red devil I'm happy being taken up the Khyber pass as long as they do the spicy chutney dip with their poppadoms. The trouble is rah, I can deal with someone not liking me or finding me funny, that's fine. I'm more than happy to take it on the chin and agree to disagree. What I can't stand is a witch hunt, particularly when it's coming from a rather dull set of humourless posters who all gang together wanting to agree for the sake of it by saying how lovely the world is, and how one individual (me) is horrible- when in plain sight they are being obnoxious, trolling and doing the very things they accuse me of doing. Works both ways. It's boring to be honest, without colourful opinions this forum would be a very dull place. I've stated my position, I will not be referring back to previous topics, which we all agree have been done to death. But, I will not change my character and become some lifeless yes person. It's easy to pick out specific posts or threads to suit the consensus that Louisa is a horrible person, or unfunny or anything else derogatory. I could do the same for specific members of the forum too if I wanted, but I don't wish to take part in a witch hunt of anyone. I do not dislike anyone enough to do that. Louisa.

I tried to delete my profile and realised it wasn't possible, then I thought oh bugger it the forum is getting more and more dull as many faces disappear, may as well go down with the sinking ship. Louisa.

I've not even started steveo. You wait for my next thread instalment, bird watching in Belair Park. Louisa.

KK both. The only sneering that's gone on today and since I've been banished, has been from certain other posters. You know, the ones who bang on about evil trolls whilst doing it themselves? Louisa.
-
The old Louisa is dead, I've promised myself and a few others to not steer back into previous conversational favourites of mine, and as yet have not done so. Then someone tries to push my buttons to get me to talk about a topic I have tried to leave behind me. So rather than rise to that, I am back with a completely different take on local issues. I refuse to be drawn on Iceland, class or parents with a buggy. From now on, I want to be taken seriously, any drinks events on the horizon? I refuse to be trolled back into previous topics. Louisa.

The only issue I think they may encounter, is the fact the venue isn't close enough to a station or any other immediate bars. It's a little out of the way. Reputation building would of course remedy that potential disadvantage though. Louisa.

More subtle sneering. Get off your high horse. If you didn't want to respond and genuinely believed in the 'anti-troll' references you so spouted on the other thread, surely you'd not respond at all? Instead we have the 'not me honest gov' approach, where you reply by saying you won't be replying. If that isn't trolling I don't know what is. Louisa.

The old Claytons Arms was ransacked during the riots of 2011, and it didn't really recover from that, hence its closure. Louisa.

I think the time has come for us to have a grown up adult discussion about the true meaning of this word. As I am banned from the general issues section and cannot respond publicly to some of the pretty nasty sneering aimed at me on a certain other thread, I would like to raise it here. In defence of my PM to this 'robbin' person, I was trying to make the point that sneering DOES work both ways. You can't accuse me of being obnoxious on the one hand (based on previous posts) when the very comment I am refering to made by you is indeed obnoxious. Lots of pot kettle black stuff going on here today. A lot of my humour is lost in translation, but the lack of humour in some posters whilst sneering is obvious for all to see most of the time (I do hope you are taking note admin). I'm sick to the back teeth of people misunderstanding me even after I've explained myself, then winding me up knowing full well I can't respond on the thread in question. It's sneaky underhand tactical stuff which exposes your apparent 'anti troll' rants for what they really are, TROLLING. Louisa.
