  1. Bloody cliques. Louisa.
  2. I agree Jah, think it would be more suitable for PR or Bellenden area. Nice to see all the hype about Peckham isn't just restricted to Frank's any longer though, what with John the Unicorn and The Hope opening up too. Louisa.
  3. Rumour has it a new bar and restaurant is opening on the site of the former Clayton Arms in Peckham, this coming bank holiday. http://dollshousepeckham.com/Peckham/dolls_house.html Little information beyond this, but the people behind the project run two other bars 'The Doll's House', Islington and 'The Dead Doll's Club', Bethnal Green. Does anyone have any further information on this? Would be great to see this derelict sad hostelry brought back to life again. Louisa.
  4. A bed which transformed into a mobile bar at the press of a button. Louisa.
  5. I'm guessing you don't want to borrow my Queer as Folk boxset then? Louisa.
  6. Multiple personas perhaps foxy? Whoever they are, the comments are ignorant and provocative. Louisa.
  7. I can't believe no one has noticed that Tarot uses very similar tone, language and poor spelling to the serial "why do I not have any friends" person who trashes the general issues page on a regular basis with moronic and repeatitive threads. Coincidence? Louisa.
  8. Status quo on the jukebox, lizard dashing past open swinging doors, tumbleweed floating down the dusty track. Louisa.
  9. The John Major intervention today was less than helpful, and again reinforces the disingenuous stereotype of westminster politics. Angry young Scots riding high on a wave of nationalism will be swayed towards the SNP bandwagon simply out of anti everything coming out of London, reinforced by Sturgeon. I don't think any short term gain the tories may get from exposing the SNP/Labour deal post May 7 will do our country any good long term. Louisa.
  10. Well it seems tarot took the lowest common denominator route with this thread. People who use racism, sexism, and homophobia to get a cheap rise out of a community forum really need to go back to troll school. The seasoned EDF crowd will see straight through that one. Louisa.
  11. There's nothing wrong with Doctors. Louisa.
  12. How dare you suggest such a thing! Louisa.
  13. Well, here we are in 2015, and the time has come for me to hang up my hat and hand in my P45. This forum has been a great local resource and I personally will be very sad to say goodbye, but I think the time is now about right. Admin felt I overstepped the mark yesterday, which may or may not have been the case I will let you all be the judge of that. I apologise to the folk I offended, maybe my style of posting has become a little too polarised in these recent years of online political correctness. Whenever I contribute to this forum I am fully aware my comments can sometimes come across as aggressive or controversial but please let me assure you all I am actually a pussycat in reality and like everyone else I get fire in my belly over certain topics of discussion. To all the folk I've had banter with over the years, as well as disagreed with, I wish you all the very best. I hope you can forgive and forget if I've offended, it really wasn't meant to be spiteful or unfriendly. Until we meet again. Louisa.
  14. So to clarify alice, a 'blow-in' (for the umteenth time) contributes to rising house prices and the knock on effect of forcing people out of the area who were born here. 'Drive-ins', tend to be the types who contribute to the local small economy by spending money in businesses often owned by locals and employing locals. Slightly off comparison that doesn't really need explaining, kind of obvious. Louisa.
  15. Oh jules if only you knew the half of it. The wishy washy brigade on here are always making bizarre comments you'd usually expect to be confined to a Green Party general election manifesto from the mid-80s. Louisa.
  16. Come off it. Parking is a blatant cash cow, and 9/10 it's not even inconsiderate parking, it's the person who's overstayed by 5 minutes and been landed a ticket. I would also argue that, a go to see destination such as Dulwich Village with its gallery, parks and restaurants would earn far more from visitors spending time and money there than people being scared off because of the thought of getting a ticket. Louisa.
  17. Although it's a decent cash cow for the council, it seems a shame that they would target people out enjoying the Easter Bank Holiday. People have been working their backsides off only to be landed a ticket on a happy family day out at the park/picture gallery. Louisa.
  18. Top marks for name dropping on this post. Blow ins just can't help themselves. Louisa.
  19. I'm going to a friends for dinner and wanted to take a chocolate egg but everywhere appears to have sold out lovally? Anyone know somewhere that still had any at all? Louisa.

    Leaders' Debate

A bit disappointing the DUP and other NI parties not invited. It's ok to invite break away nationalist parties only representing constituencies in specific regions of the UK, and the DUP which in the last parliament was the forth largest party by seats, not invited. Bad show for the UK representing every home nation, bad show for democracy. Louisa.
  21. That area is changing and has changed pretty drastically in the last four or five years, but this is London and nowhere is totally safe, particularly late at night on a relatively quiet side road. Louisa.
  22. Where's the voice of the Labour Party's highest profile business supporter whilst all this is going on then? Alan Sugar? Seems very quiet, is he still not the biggest fan of the two Ed's? Louisa.
  23. Looking in the back of the cupboard and finding a box of chocolates from christmas I'd forgotten about. Louisa.
