  2. Apparently all the dog owners can be seen frequenting the footpath with their dogs saying 'Poo on it Snuggles. Only poo on the footpath!'

Ah HeidiHi - you've never had the pleasure of waking up in a strange house whilst the night before comes back to you in small and usually not ordered glimpses. Should I get up and go to the toilet? Hmm now is that the toilet door or am I going to show my half naked self to the street? .....Mr CamberwellOz locked himself out of the flat naked once. He had to wrap the other flat's old newspapers around him to keep warm and wait for a mate to bring some keys over in the morning. How did his friend know? Well Mr CamberwellOz had to knock on our neighbours door wrapped in the sports section and ask to use their phone. Now I'm married and a mum, I think life would be quite dull without these funny memories.

This guilt talk reminds me of when I got taught my nuns at school. The reason the ads are affecting you is because you personally have thought these thoughts before (OR for me I was rammed full of roman catholic guilt from an early age. Both my primary and high school was run by nuns and they made me feel guilty about everything that made me feel good). I don't want to start a massive religous debate - this is just my opinion about why I don't like the ads.

I just placed my order in for weekend wines. I spent twenty minutes looking through our wine list and chatting to everyone in the office about what would be good to drink on the long weekend. For me it is like reading a really good menu at a restaurant. I think about where I will be drinking the wine, what I will be eating and who is coming. Each variable will change what I order and how much I spend on the bottle. I'm quite looking forward to and old vines Pouilly-Fuisse that my husband and I are going to drink with roast pork that our friend Terry breeds down in Sutton Valence.

Having a child worked for me. 11 months off the booze and then a few months of light, once a week drinking. I felt like a different person. Although, I work in the wine industry - so temptation is high and self restraint is low. Also - I get my wine really cheap from work. It is my job and I work in the industry because I love food and wine. I don't think I would feel complete without sharing a beautiful bottle of wine with friends. I suppose I am addicted but I'm not falling into gutters or blanking out any parts of the evening.
  19. Now I'll just have to go for Ani Difranco instead.
  20. Damn you giggirl - Dave Grohl was my fantasy date.
  21. Dulwichmum - reminds me of the first time I travelled to France. I got stuck in a self cleaning toilet and had to hang onto to the door as the bottom filled up with water and ..... well unspeakables. I was screaming and my mate on the other side couldn't help me because she was buckled up on the ground laughing at me. I can't remember what the toilet paper felt like - I just remember it lapping at my ankles.
  22. Siduhe - that looks amazing. I am going there for sure.
  23. I cycle from Camberwell to Willesden Junction. From Willesden I follow the Canal Way down to Paddington, cut into Hyde Park (favourite part of the ride) and across to and past Victoria Station (I change this bit a lot and still haven't really found the best route to miss all the traffic), down to and over Vauxhall Bridge, past the Oval and then I usually go various different back streets towards Denmark Hill. When I was really fit - I could do it in about 1hr 10mins but at the moment (after having a baby and not riding this far for about a year) I'm doing it in about 1 1/2 hours. Same time as the tube - phah - I hate peak hour public transport. When I'm feeling lazy I catch the overland from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction and ride back from there. I can do that in 20 minutes. Door to door in an hour. Love it.
  24. I knew an old lady who ...can't help saying who swallowed a fly.
  25. I wear my sunglasses at nigt... so I can...
