  1. Dancing to all my 7" singles, including the surprise find of Bucks Fizz's Making Your Mind Up (accidental drunken swap at Lucky 7s presumably).
  2. Accept yourself for the beautiful woman you are, Annette; there is no need to feel guilty about pleasure.
  3. I'm thinking it might be the new Ulysses...
  4. So do we all Sumon, so do we all.
  5. Gotta love that emotional doohickey.
  6. It's a Smiths album.
  7. Meat is murder.
  8. Not meaning to be rude, but how is it a new idea? Have seen a great kids' clothing shop selling Danish and other Skandi designs disappear from East Dulwich Road for want of custom (much to my chagrin, it was a great place to get gifts for the nieces et al). Actually, am I going mad, is there a place on Melbourne Grove? Are you going to be selling anything unique to you? New designers? I like Scandinavian design, but wouldn't travel to Crystal Palace for it - if you have a unique offering though, I'd certainly check you out online.
  9. Didn't mean to put the cat among the pigeons. I think what we need's a little dogs d'amour: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP9B_8BRQqs
  10. Wow Lishy, looking over your posting history, that's probably the most positive thing you've ever said on here. Attagirl! And I quote: "PATHETIC", "why bother", "the police don't give a stuff", "why are people to (sic) lazy", "complete jealously (sic)", "pointless you are wasting your time and money". And you think there's something missing from my life, dearie?
  11. Pibe, RosieH do have a beeyoodiful B&O on cherry wood plinth from the 70s, but never ripped anything to MP3. Is it pretty easy then from any turntable?
  12. Oh dear me Voyageur - it was me that made the comment, not Sunlover. I take it that you have no problem with the relentless tedious slag-fest that comprises Lishyloo's contribution to the forum, but a little light ribbing has you up in arms..? Wowsers, you're a veritable little fun-bundle too, eh?
  13. Lishyloo, have you ever considered a career as a children's TV presenter? You're like a little ray of jazz-handed sunshine, and I'm sure kids all over the land could benefit from your relentless feel-good optimism in these dark and gloomy times.

So it's just the odd one or two killing 275 million prey each year? Dick Whittington didn't know the half of it... http://www.rspb.org.uk/advice/gardening/unwantedvisitors/cats/birddeclines.aspx

  16. Weird that the cat people seem to think the dog people should control their pets, while not doing anything to control their own. Cats roam and dogs bark. If you should train one not to do something, then you should likewise train the other.
  17. Am up near Goose Green, so probably ED or Peckham Rye stations to London Bridge I think - just wasn't sure if they might have said that some journeys likely to be worse than others, so take X route...
  18. Ace, thanks.
  19. I'm not a volunteer, but may have one staying with me for a few weeks. What's the best route by public transport, and how badly affected is it going to be come actual Olympic time?
  20. Ah, we're being fair are we. Ok then, in that case, we should make Usain Bolt earn his money by running for as long as, say, Tiger Woods plays golf? Or women footballers earn as much as men footballers - after all, they're on the pitch the same length of time...
  21. Women. Equivalent of ladies is gentlemen. Equivalent of men is women. Dear god, it's like the letters page of the Telegraph in here.

  23. Heh, really? I always suspected they were intellectually subnormal in Clapham. Am I allowed to say "intellectually subnormal"? Maybe I should move to scenester SE15 (Peckham side, natch). Or Bloomsbury.

See bloonoo, I think you have made the criminal error of failing to follow my posts avidly enough. If you had, you would have read that Peckham has recently been cited as more scenester even than Dalston (and certainly much more so than Shoreditch, which tends to resemble Lordship Lane these days, with a Sunday morning stroll requiring careful dodging of puddles of blow-ins' vomit, still reeking of white trainer).
