True say - Deansgate is a little like stepping onto the set of Hollyoaks.

Don't I know it. I think a subscription to Vogue should be given to all women on their 18th birthdays!

Pearson, I was just commenting on the epithet "classy". For the most part, the second something is described as "classy" it tends to be the very opposite. A little bit like Karen Millen - not so much with the natural fibres... Sorry, just joshing.

Oh, I'm not cross, I was just pretending to be you.

Bloody women bastards. They don't like sex either. Or is it just with me?

It's because men prize youth in a mate and lips lose their colour as they get older.

As an aside, wouldn't a "classy hotel" be a frightful oxymoron? By dint of being described thus, twould be instantly rendered, let's say, the Karen Millen of the hotel world?

Heh, I did enjoy it, even though it made me cry - kind of like When We Were Orphans.

Because men prize youth in a mate, and plump lips are a sign of youth. Society prizes thinness AND breasts. Unfortunately they seldom go together naturally. So women starve themselves and then have to get fake tits.
  15. I have not been to a wedding where they played, but I have danced to Keef's band. Awesome, feel-good, and probably the second best aerobic workout I've had in the past couple of years.
  16. Hey DC, rescued this thread from what, motherfucker? Heh, and to think I just wanted to listen to Diana Dors to cheer me up on my way into work. That'll learn me.
  17. Anyone care to stop putting words in my mouth, Huguenot and Kingy? Where have I said that I have a moral right to do anything? For fuck's sake Kingy, you're a staggeringly pompous arse, ascribing malintent where there was none. All I did was ask if it is possible to listen to a copy-protected CD on itunes. I had no idea that it would be illegal, so I certainly had no thought that I had some moral right to anything: I owned a CD and wanted to know if I could play it on my mac. It seems you enjoy riding your high horse around this particular crusade, and you're very welcome to it. But I would ask that you stop right now ascribing thoughts or intentions to me that simply aren't there.
  18. True say.
  19. Er, no he didn't. His response was one word: "Thievery". Had he wanted to offer advice, he could have said that there is no way to play a copy-protected CD on itunes legally. That would have been advice, rather than calling me a thief for making the criminal error of exposing my ignorance. I started a thread a couple of days ago about how most people are fundamentally decent, but I am glad to have been disabused, and reminded that the world is, indeed, full of cunts.
  20. Christ on a bike, it really really isn't. I have paid for it twice over already. I would gladly pay for it thrice, were it possible to download. The question is actually, 'is it possible to listen to this in a different format'? As for not listening to it in squalid mp3 format, some of us don't like to pollute the planet by driving to work in cars. Yep Kingy, you called me a thief, so I told you to shove it up your arse. I think you started with the insults.
  21. Actually Kingy, if you read my posts, you'd see that I've bought the bloody CD twice. And as Sean rightly says, I would gladly pay to download it, but it isn't available to download. I want to be able to listen to it on my ipod is all. I don't illegally download music or films, not because I'm a goody two shoes, but because I believe in paying for something that someone has produced. So frankly, you can take your "thievery" and you can shove it up your arse.
  22. Neatly sidestepped.
  23. Who make up what percentage of the population waynetta?
  24. Aw shucks karter, and there's me all cynical. Problem is, it can't be bought. I even bought another copy recently, in the hope that a newer one might not be copy-protected, because, hey, we all have ipods now. Flawed logic. Am 2-CD-owning dufus.
  25. Ah, cool thanks. And none of the music is by the good Steven (my first love incidentally) so you needn't have nightmares.
