  2. Soooo, how was Latitude for other forumites that went?? I had a fantastic time - think it was the right one for my festival cherry to be popped at!! Loved Sigur Ros and Blondie, didn't mind the rain or the crick in my neck from stretching up on tip toes to try and see. Absolutely loved the literary tent - Robin Ince's Book Club was a failsafe way to loose at least an hour - especially the last one on Sunday night - Robin and Ross Noble doing John Peel impression's and remnising about "Copycats" tv show, although did end up seeing more of Pappy's Fun Club than I ever wanted to. Only downsides were missing Ross Noble's conga line (didn't know anything about it until yesterday when looking on chortle) and that Michael Fabbri's slot got swapped so instead of making to the comedy tent with time to settle in and watch his set we ended up only seeing the last 5 minutes he did :'( Still, looked at the latitude website today and they've got limited availability on tickets for next year at this years prices - got the ok from the other half so have just booked them - not going to miss Ross and Michael next year hopefully!! :)-D
  3. Lordship_bod - think The Krankies did pop up on Crackerjack but can't remember if they were on every week - remember the Chuckle Dogs (who took off their dog outfits and became the Chuckle Brothers). Brendan - blimey - you must have really liked the Gummie Bears - I curtsey to your superior knowledge
  4. ...think I can fill in the gaps - Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Gummie bears, bouncing here and there and > everywhere, (high adventures - their) beyond compare, (we are the) > gummie bears. ... happy to have the remaining 4 points!! use to love Blue Peter (remember wanting to dress just like Sarah Greene!!), and also loved Rentaghost, Crackerjack with Stu Francis and The Great Soprendo. As I got older Byker Grove was a must see, as was Press Gang - was broken hearted when I discovered Dexter Fletcher wasn't really american.... even more so when I saw him over 10 years ago and found he wasn't much taller than me (I'm only 5ft 2"). Still have a bit of a guilty pleasure crush on Pip Schofield!!
  5. it looked like a van had gone into the side of a parked car - drove past after giving my other half a lift to the station - no buses were going by.

    Behold!

.... didn't think that much trouble could be caused in Cambridge!!!
  7. Michael Palaeologus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 27 July is the day after the EDF Pub Crawl. Thus > many people may be in need of a lie down in the > park. Thats what I thought!! I'm working on the 3rd so won't be able to make that :'(
  8. She - Elvis Costello
  9. would prob look stranger if he had it on the other newsreader's leg...
  10. can't believe she didn't look as the bra went on... have to say (being of generous chest myself!) sometimes a bit of padding can help with general uplift and shape - not just to make them look bigger!
  11. Do you think by reducing numbers of T-Wat's carbon emissions could be reduced as there would be less hot air blown out?!
  12. even better than the Eden project is The Lost Gardens of Heligan - near Mevagissey (which isn't worth visiting - no decent places for afternoon tea!) the story behind it is v sad as they fell into disrepair during the 1st WW when all the gardener's joined up and few made it back. They were uncovered in the late 70's/early 80's and a group of dedicated gardener's have worked on them since to get them back to their original state. ....of course to properly compare you could do both!
  13. LostThePlot Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Long way 'round that! 30 miles, and 1:50 longer > according to my autoroute that! hmmm - have impression that heading into town on a week day morning will always be busy and take much longer than journey planners say it will! Got caught out once on a saturday on the south circular - having added an hour to what the journey planner had said it would take, I was still late!
  14. Got to Fowey in 5hrs last year - was going on weekday but made sure I left ED by 7am, headed out through Bromley onto the M25 (missing worst of rush hour/school run) then M4/M5/A30 - think stopped for petrol/loo once but was in Fowey by 1230. As when going on family hols from land of the Bugg's (suffolk) my dad would insist on us getting up at 3am and letting us sleep while he drove - would be in Penzance for about 9am and breakfast!!
  15. Will be popping on on my way home from work, so Gowlett works better than Nunhead pub's = plus can get a Gowlettini for my tea!!!
  16. will pm further details to see if it rings a bell!!
  17. Thanks for this Pickle - our HCA's haven't started yet so will have been all nurse's that you saw, will show the girls this (on my break at the moment). We always try our best so it's lovely to hear when the parents feel we have too x
  18. I was there too SM - be it the other side of the park with my own friends and family!!! Am thinking of having another birthday picnic this year - was going to do the 27th as its the nearest Sunday to my birthday but know there might be a few sore heads following the previous day's activities!! Esp as you're not all stranger's anymore happy to combine - maybe with more peeps the rounder's match I thought of but never played might take off!
  19. think it might have been a security guard = the report on the bbc website said seven members of staff had been fired over the incident.
  20. At work at the moment (well on break @ work!) so can't access the video but if its the one I think it is (the woman left dying on the floor of the ED) seeing it made me feel sick, and proud that despite the days where there are long waits for dr's or transfers to wards myself and my colleagues would never allow that to happen.
  21. blimey didn't know Michael Fabbri was so local... saw him at my mate's club last year and he made me double over with laughter - going to Latitude (in less than 2 wks :))) and he's on my must see list... don't think I've had the pleasure of seeing you Mr Mullone - but will look out for you! x
  22. ...think Mrs Richard was Mona - lovely to chat to them both and hope Richard works out his username soon! Feeling shattered despite early doors... looking forward to a drinks with the next day off so can stay out to play later!!
  23. sorry for crying off early (will work out being off day of and after drinks one of these months!!), but fab to see you all again. Is great to have a night out practically on my doorstep with such a great group of friends. BN5, annaj & SM will all be pleased to hear no lasting damage seems to have occured from my lamppost bashing incidence... and made it home without bumping into any!! Fingers crossed work'll be nice over the w/e!! x
  24. around about 830ish - will be there but prob not late - feeling sleepy now and back at work early tomorrow :'(
  25. don't know about that, but he did appear in one of the fruit n fibre ad's.... "their tasty, tasty, very very tasty... their very tasty!"
