Issue wasn't where peeps were parking, was more the volume trying to get out at the same time - cars at all give ways and nil idea of which has priority = thus where help was needed!
  2. I work there (can't remember password so couldn't log on when saw this thread earlier) and surprised they didn't explain that they can't tell you due to confidentiality. Just to say as well, if someone is having chest pain/?heart attack and is awake and alert, let them be in a position most comfortable to them - often sat on floor with feet on floor and knees up is good = but most comfortable position for them means less stress to them so less stress on heart.
  3. normally go on my day's off in the week, but hadn't realised until today I'm working 10-10 tomorrow so needed to get stuff for my lunch and dinner (can't rely on hospital canteen for edible meals, or to have breaks that conincide with them being open!). Bike would be good, but legs knackered after my 5 mile run this morning!!
  4. Just had the misfortune to have to whizz to Sainsburys... it quite amazes me how it can be open from first thing monday thru to late saturday and yet today's the day everyone wants to go, spent longer getting in and out of the carpark than did either in the shop or travelling there/back!! Would probably help if the parking attendant was actually in the carpark helping direct the cars coming out of various turnings - found him just outside of the carpark helpfully pointing out (the blinking obvious) way towards the traffic lights.... as I went past found myself opening my window and saying this to him! Ahhhhh..... feel better for getting that off my chest! x
  5. ...thats alright Fonson!
  6. I've been a guest on Dermot O'Leary's radio show with my mum and sister... and we then got described on the radio 2 msg boards as giggly girls!
  7. I remember looking after your daughter in A&E that day... really sorry to hear that your mum's having such a rough time, remember being amazed when I heard what had happened and how lucky they were.
  8. have managed to get early release tickets for Latitude this year so breaking my festival virginity there!!
  9. Not had this tonight, but the recipe was given to me by a friend when we were both students... Cook one person worth of pasta, grate some cheese - enough for personal taste. Drain cooked pasta and put back into sauce pan, add the cheese and tomato ketchup, stir so cheese melts and put onto plate.... great for late night slightly tipsy-ness!
  10. and you Keef!!! Sorry again, but as annaj & bignumber5 said already both much more elequently than me (suppose thats what looking after grown ups does!!) it triggered our heckles. All now forgiven and hope to finally make a forum drinks soon to properly say hi!
  11. Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Lucky you are in Singapore really, can't imagine > you getting such swift attention here! working in a&e I have seen peeps "getting attention" that quickly... if someone needs surgery that quickly they get it.
  12. Until last week, sticking to my new yrs resolution has been fab - much fitter and almost 2 stone lighter - much thanks to GoodLiz! But I'd have to say being proposed to on friday (thus again missing my chance to meet EDFer's) has to be this years highpoint, roll on march '09!!
  13. All the rumpus about the ladies only swimming sessions both annoyed and bewildered me!

  19. crystal palace road, about half way along, hope you feel better soon Lozzyloz!
  20. ... wouldn't be so sure - I've been running since feb (well, intermittantly - have to stop to eat/sleep/work etc) and only got to 18-14 size (depending on the top/bottoms!)
  21. oh dear, was hoping this place would be different - thanks for the heads up EDMummy. Is so disappointing that so few places in ED cater to sizes 16/18 - white stuff and sainsburys are the only ones that spring to mind :(
  22. As a nurse too this "Mayday fund" raises my suspicion meter too - while much talk has been made about getting donations, nothing has been said about why or how this would be passed onto nurses plus the only person I've seen talking about it has been this american woman - nothing backed up by some examples of the nurses in need. After reading the Gareth Southgate article above, looks like even the RCN is trying to distance its self. I think I'm fairly lucky, although for the responsibility/work I do, I'm paid double what my parents are paid in their respective jobs - I also joke that my other half is my key worker scheme!!

OOoooo yes, their fantastic in there, few years back when living in Sydenham I'd go to the hobgoblin for the celeb pub quiz and then pop in there (its next door) and have an open portion of chips to eat on the way home - yummy!!
  24. in and out since july 2000 - been in current flat for nearly 2yrs and feel more settled here than ever!
